STI to cross 3000 boosted by long-term investors

I can only describe yesterday and today's trading as aimless. Watch out for Friday night's economic reports (unemployment rate, non farm payrolls and hourly earnings) out from the US. These will set the tune for the next week or so. |

its not pretty much wad happens the night before...but the STI looks forward and goes according to what it predict will happen at night on US..thus often its the US futures leading us the way coupled with influence from HSI (which also looks at US Futures)

Looks like we are calling the shots and not the Dow... ie. Dow plunged heavily, but we are up. Remember the previous day, we were down and the Dow plunged heavily that same night... |

AK a bit worry for Cap R. It had been pushed down last few days, very high vol. If d same pushers pushing up d same counter, with today px n vol, really my heart trembling harder. Subconcious mind alerted me something, hope its just false alarm. Just be careful loh. Above no call for anything. |

The probem is when more and more erstwhile gurus start to tremble in the knees, it is going to mean further selling... thus causing the big downtrend to be intact... and the bears would luv that...

There has been so many experts and gurus (i meant the real ones recognized in the finance world...) calling for bottom all along...i think the real bottom will probably reach only when all shut up and keep quiet and don't call for bottom then maybe we will see some light...there's this popular column in Yahoo finance..this American called "Dr Doom"...and the many technical analysts ...fundamental experts....all kana blasted for their inaccurate posts...but shld we really blame them in this unprecedented market?

the bailout indeed has evaporated so fast and i hope tt these management ppl didn't evaporate it on spa, bonuses and enjoyment...as reported in some cases that even President Obama condemned we do understand Warren Buffet saying of "Buy when there's fear, and sell when there's greed"...well, now even Warren Buffet looks fearful and even blamed himself for the losses his company had invested...so wad's more than intense fear itself when gurus are already in the slump but having said so, as a commoner...don't really dare to enter the market..long nor short..its just really fearful |

Really sad ah. D bank giants n Finance Consodium in US are basically suckers or Black Hole. First wave of bailout, evapourated immediatly. Second wave of bailout, taking advantage, not enough, want some more. Spore n Kuwait responded very promptly. What d world get? |

looking at the markets today.. down bar on freakingly big vol.. banking stocks all gettin hammered on super large vol... this down trend will continue but u know what..there's always light at the end of the tunnel.. we're nearing a bottom..
