Report from OCBC Sec... Implication on Singapore Although the strong rally on Wall Street overnight spells further optimism that the economic recovery is on the way, these positive sentiments are likely to have been discounted in the STI's 3.4% leap yesterday. Coupled with the US index futures trading lower in early morning trading, this could ignite profit taking initiatives from some investors, possibly resulting in a technical correction in the local bourses today. However, the better than expected US corporate results (especially Goldman Sachs and Intel) and the subsequent strong positive reaction from the market is likely to have set the tone for the upcoming corporate results that will be released in the weeks ahead. As such, barring any major disappointments from the corporate results announcements this season, the STI is likely to break above 2424 (2009 high) and reach towards the 2500 (psychological level) in the near term. On the downside, we think that 2315 will pose as the initial hurdle, ahead of 2300 (Psychological level). Strong confident recovery market here .... just started, those who have not ride on the boat is not too late .... lets enjoy the uptrend ........ yeah~~~~ STI will break the recent high .... and this should continue ... heading to 2700 .... haa ... sounds abit too far and actually is not that far ....... Cheers .... crazy uptrend market will happen here now !!!!

STI had broke the upper sloping resistance at 2328 and stayed above it at closing, hopefully next few days, form a higher high and hgher low and may or may not (but preferably) re-test tat line as a support to confirm the bullish contracting triangle pattern. Below is my daily line chart analysis for sharing and exchange pointers. My TA chart is posted to share n exchange pointers with those TA practitioner whom believes in TA. If u are a TA detractor, plse just ignore n refrain from peeping at my chart posting n start making unconstructive comments. This is only my view n I may be right or wrong, so dyodd.
