That was the time I immediately dumped all my stocks, every single counter I had. And shortly after that, the stock market sank, slowly, bit by bit, day by day, unnoticed, until it became the big meltdown that we just saw... Thus, if we are not observant, there can be indicators that we normally ignore...

Exactly the same sentiments iPunter! That's why DJIA and S&P are now at 92%Bulls (and still counting), and people are still hoping it will go further...Sigh, as long as thieves keep robbing and parsar auntie keeps bargaining, the beast will stay healthy forever.

BTW, anyone has latest PAI update? (parsar auntie index)

Not many traders have make it....they just make a couple of thousand here and there.

It is precisely those who intend to 'invest for 7 years' who have lost sooo much money in just one year...

Imagine this (this is a fact)...

Many investors had their great blue bluest of blue chips's price fell to only a fraction of their buy price in just one year...

But nonetheless, I believe in seven years time, they will be filthy rich...

But I'd rather enjoy playing with the naughty monster beast (the market)... and my hobby of chart reading...

And I will never teach anyone, simply because that would be inviting rotten eggs... hehehe... 

Sigh...rich man, poor man....You rich man, I poor man lah...

Anyway, everyone, Shanghai should start today on its way down (intermediate wave 3). STI should follow tomorrow to complete its wave 2 down, before starting its wave 3 up again as explained previously. HSI still has room to move, currently in wave 3.

"it will get u when u least expect it.." - yes, so many poeple predicted a crash on OCT. Sometime, it will really caught u off guard when u expect it to crash but instead it rally like mad and go for mild correction.

One eg is SEP, many are predicting SEP-OCT will be a down month, 1st day of SEP, dow down about 200pts, next day ppl panick dump their stocks, but after 3 day i U - Turn and rise until it breaks new high. So analyst is wrong for the SEP prediction. 

 SEP rally is a prefect build up for the crash on OCT? Maybe, but personally I dun think it will be a crash, correction will sure occur for sure.

The media clouds our minds from using our common sense..

i hope retailers can realise that this is a fake "rally"

the next shoe will drop and it will be very hard and painful...

Hi Ah Peh. We call the said period to be wave A instead of wave 1 because the said period (oct to march) is only A of a 3 part corrective bigger Wave 4. That means that the bull run has not finish yet. There is still one more actionary wave 5 in the year of the Tiger and that means current situation is still a corrective cycle. Whether this wave 5 will be truncated, diagonal or ends higher than Oct 07, no one knows yet. Therefore, you cannot call it wave 1 because that will come only after we have finished with Wave 5, which will end the whole Grand Super Cycle waves. Then after that we can start counting massive 5 waves down for the next few years! 

All EW materials are online, no need to buy any books! Can save money!

Both of your scenarios are right, you just need to combine them together. Corrective waves are always in 3s. But because the structure of primary A wave that ended in March 09 is clearly a 5 wave impulsive structure (and we know that correctives are never 5s), then we know that the whole correction has not ended yet. We are now in a wave B which in itself, subdivides into another zig-zag, which again is a 5(a)-3(b).5(c) structure. We are currently (if not wrong) going to start the final wave 3 of 5 of (c), after 2 has found a near term bottom. When the full subdivision is complete, then primary wave C should start its impulsive 5 waves downwards. According to Elliott rules, a zig zag C wave will always carry prices lower than the end of wave A and wave C often has the same length as wave A. So you are right that there is another leg lower that should give us a lower STI than March bottom!!! Well done!
