Hi Seniors, Just 1 question: I bought 20,000 IG3R (GAgr Rights) last week, then contra sold out all of them the next day. Now I received the Application form for rights shares for the 20,000 purchased (but now I do not hold any IG3R), can I still pay $3,600 for the 20,000 IG3R which I have already sold off? Your advise pls. |

Yes, I am 100% sure you will get your 930 excess.....why not apply for 5930 excess ? If you did not apply for excess, your 1070 application will be round down to 1000 shares.....you lost 70 rights share....

Basically, that's it. However, when applying for excess Rights, it doesn't mean that you will definitely get it. (I am not sure what the chances are.) So, if you don't get the excess Rights, you will end up with odd number shares. And as I understand from Andrew, or was it Alligator, GAR do not trade in odd lot shares. I would suggest that you accept only 1,000 Rignts shares and apply for extra 1,000 Rights shares. This way, you won't be left with odd number shares. All seniors, please correct me if I am wrong.

thanks andrew and vthnay.... so which means i accept the rights issued to me and at the end key in the no. of excess lots i wish to apply right??? example i'm entitled to 1070, so i key in 930 for excess lot right??? thanks again. |

If I remember correctly, after you have applied for your Rights, the ATM machine will ask if you want to apply for excess rights.

For DBS, there is a option called Shares.....under rights issue, you will see GAR Rights. Answer all the question prompted....make sure your CDP is correct. After keying in your accept rights (which you have now), you will be prompt to key in your excess rights application... Then pay lor......

1. I can trade my 23,000 GAR shares like normal shares right? Andrew>> Yes. 2. I will have 600 free Warrants which I will have to pay 54 cents per warrant if I want them? Andrew>> It is free...come with the 3000 new shares you will get 5 for 2. To convert the warrant to normal share, you need to pay 54cts per share.....I have never exercise a warrant before.... 3. How do I go about doing that? Andrew>> No action needed for now.....just wait for your new share lor...

OK...good for you....if you are a bit kiasu....check your CDP account after 16Jul. You should see that your rights shares is withdrawal through a TT (Transfer To) transaction. I hope you make sure you have no odd lot by applying for excess.....GAR has no odd lot counter.... Also to note, watch the subscription rate closely by checking the SGX website.....if under-subscribe...I guess you know what will happen... As part of the freebie GAR is giving.....Free One Warrant for Every 5 New Shares......also, as exercise price is 54 cts.....you know what to do...again....heeee....

Hi Andrew, thank you for you patience. Ok, in simple English. :-) Yes, I paid $540 for the 3,000 Rights. My question is, can I keep these and sell them later together with my GAR shares. I have 20k GAR shares. That's why I was able to apply for the Rights. Thanks! :-)

I don't understand a word of what you just said.....heee... The keypoint here : GAR Rights will expire on 16 Jul, after this it will null or void..... Did the ATM prompt you to pay $540 for your 3000 shares.??...if not, you have not take up the rights....check hor..

I went to ATM m/c and aga aga, press here press there, and I think I came away with 3,000 GAR Rights share. I want to keep this for later and trade it like ordinary shares. Is it okay?
