I'm learning wave also. This is what I think:

wave 1: Jul06 to Jan 07
wave 2:  ends at apr 07
wave 3: ends at jul 07
wave 4: ends at mid aug07
wave 5: ends at oct07
wave A: ends at mar08
wave B: ends at may 08
wave C: ends at march09 (a very deep one)

New cycle:
wave 1: mar09 to now
Wave 2: now to  ?? (correction wave but not sure how deep)

Yes. I meant exactly what you wrote. Elliot wave forecast rules for a 5-3-5 correction wave, to predict position of wave C - Draw a line connecting beginning of wave A (Oct 07 top) to the top of wave B (which is now?). Copy this line and move it (in a parallell manner) to the bottom of wave A. Then you should see roughly where wave C should end. Scary rite? I dun even want to know about it if EW theory is accurate this time.

This is of course assumming that wave B has already ended and won't spot another rebound (which is another bearish opportunity I am waiting for...)

Do u mean that STI is still in an uptrend (end of wave 4, down) If so, when do u think the last leg wave 5, up going to occur? Do wave 5 end in about 4-5 mths time, i.e. begining of tiger year? After which trend reversal waves A,B & C begins?

Whereas, STI and HSI are only trailing behind - still in wave 4 down of a super cycle up, waiting for the last wave 5 up before we start our Grand Super Cycle down. (sometime in year of Tiger).
