Bought one earlier in the year in dist 9.Though a few 100k profits, probably, if I sell now. But then free up so much capital also dun know what to do with it, unless the situation is in danger of a big plunge and call for an immediate exit.

People go into property investment for longer term unlike stock markets. The last one I sold, I held it for quite a number of years. Morever, I think the property market still got some leg to go, with the IR opening etc ... albeit at a slower pace.

So, good year ahead ... one year at a time.

In life, if you are a positive person, you view things positively, you take positive actions.

If you are always negative, you are ever so cautious. Caution is good though. But if over do it, you miss many opportunities.

If you are neither, well, nothing happens!! You are always a bystander.

Yes, merry christmas to all. Time to put up the christmas tree. I celebrate christmas but this year I'll be away as I sometimes do, to experience many different christmas celebrations in other countries.

If u want to be a millionaire, buy REAL ESTATE, not stocks,gold,commodities etc.

1) u are buying on HUGE leverage.. borrowing on other people's money

2) u are funding tomorrow's money with cheap money of today (E.G $2k dollars today is worth less 10-20 yrs from now)

3) "U heard of older people lamenting, i should have bought more houses back then, look at the prices now." If u think the next generation wouldn't experience this again, u are wrong! This is a perpetual phenomenon where prices of REAL ESTATE will always rise in the long term.

 Alert Admin 		Agree.  At any point of time a price of a share is exactly the price of willing buyer and willing seller, and it tells us that both parties believe the price is just right.  This is the logic. But it may not be the correct logic and is always never.  So we must know what comes into play.  It can be predetermined, automated through softwares, or manupulated.  Investors are definitely fearful of these posibilities.

The only thing is the poor image that we have a money eating market, so we lack the real outside people bringing in funds.  We only played among locals, don't know how long we can last.  You see, we have weakness such as shorting via borrowed shares.  I can tell you that this is totally bad for health, economic health that is.  You imagine oneself as cutting a little bit of meat from their body to feed one's hunger and family members (league of syndicates).  They enjoy and get over the hunger very well, but over a longer period of time, there is only bones and skeletons left, these group of people die away too and so our economy also will finish.  This is an analogy of short selling with or without borrowed shares.  Anyone disagree?

 Alert Admin 		Put aside religious, X'mas is a season to be JOYFUL.  Its the only time where lights are everywhere especially Orchard road and it is an 'excuse' to CELEBRATE.  Commercialise though it may sound, but, regardless of race / religious, just  immerse oneself into this beautiful night scene when one walking along the whole stretch of orchard road in the night anytime from now....

 Alert Admin 		PRs are smart people.   They took the unwanted flats (very low floor, very far from MRT and supermarket)  at 'super' cheap price becos  no one want those flats.  These flats were the left over ones and i think they are published on HDB website quarterly.    These are the 'smart' people who bought cheap and they can sell higher price later. These flats floor area can be quite big compare to those near to the facilities/mrt  ones.

We were kept reminded again and again of "affordable" housing every now & then, but if we look at the HDB own website that tracked the resale flats statistic hitting new highs in 3Q2009 (even higher than that in 97), then who is lying? As for the COV, dun know which goodu came out with the idea? My agents told me sellers asking for high cov bcoz the house is "nicely" renovated blah blah blah... (me pluke when viewing the house, esp the dirty toilets), seller spent "$80k" renovating, blah blah blah (yah.. maybe 10 years ago lor). Shouldn't all these already been accounted for in the valuation? So telling me the valuer is incompetent & cannot value the unit properly? As if trying to pass the renov cost to me...anyway just some of my grieves
