Ther are different views in this forum that is normal. Some optimistic some not. Market moves up or down is not always in a strieght line. There are mini dip in up market and mini rally in down market. It all depend how you look at it, in micro or macro?

Think about it, who wants the economy to collaps? Pratically no one. The world economy is moving toward recovery and it is the fact with many goverments around the world pump in money in to the economy, we definately looking at the upside. Yes, US is in deep trouble but if US collaps, it is like a the movie 2012. No one will spare from it. So no matter how, world leaders will not want to see it happen.

S-Chips are highly speculative - such hit-and-run counters aplenty.
If one hasn't bought into its dips last week, I'd advise readers to steer clear of them - esp. if you ain't got the time to glue yourself to the screen for a hit-and-run attempt.

Recent rises have been due to the anticipation of the dual-listing in some of the S-Chip counters - and as expected - the anticipation has met with eventual disappointment as expressed by some. This week alone, a reader-or-two have cried foul on falling prey to those who've been giving 'tips' on the rise of S-Chips.

Hence, trade with caution.

 Alert Admin 		For those interested in earning a quick angpow, Gold, Euro and Aussie should experience a sharp and brief rally next week But this is only for the very nimble because the medium trend now is down! I don't believe that there will be a santa claus rally this time, the sharp and short rally should end by the beginning of Xmas week.Smiley

Says earnings momentum supported by revival in corporate activity, robust home sales and recovery in new orders. Forecasts 22% earnings growth for market in 2010, which implies FY10 PE of 15.5X, still towards lower-end of historical PE range. Says banks attractive on undemanding valuations, conglomerates to benefit from pick up in new orders, sees better value in office plays and REITs than property developers.     Good question which I cannot answer! That's why I see 2 scenarios - Dow (the bluest of all chips) may go into a "trance" and continue to move to 10550, together with USDI while the rest of the indexes do not follow. Euro, Aussie, sterling already failed to confirm and are moving opposite to USDI. Gold (another bluest of all assets this time) may make another test of the support-turned-resistance channel it has already broken, before tumbling to what CheongWee predicts to be - around 650USD.

    Another scenario is everything else turns into pumpkins and rats when USDI shorters are forced to cover their positions - leading to a mad rush stampede! Smiley
