My 2-cents-worth: Nothing with Kelong. HSI has made extensive surges in the past recent months and institutional investors are cashing in on profits in many asian regions already. Recent comments on asset bubbles forming in HK is also a consequence of its dip / 'so-called correction'. STI - on the other hand - still has room for catch up / upside. Hence, I don't see immediate / much reversal. It's inching upwards on thin volume, shows stability in my opinion. Besides, with 2010 a couple of weeks away, i liken that there'll be more gains for the STI when we move into the new year. Blue chips - selective ones - are posting strong support. Banks too are well-supported because of recent statements that they've got strong growth / support going forward into 2010. My take is that the 'tiger year' will see gains for 'blue chip' counters. Not much upside for penny / speculative counters as there's tighther regulations on how investment institutions manage risk(s). |

In case you haven't notice, SSE, HSI and US indices have been tracking the reverse direction of USDI for the past many months. Only STI refuse to budge due to some unknown reasons (Not enough interest from BBs??). HSI and SSE are not spoiling the mood, they are just following robotic trading instructions to sell when the dollar is up!

Can someone advise me what is happening in USDI in the 1 minute chart now? It is forming long candles (77.5 -77.7 approx) for the past 15 minutes consequtively side by side ! I have never seen such candles formation before ! Is this an indication that short funds are covering their short positions?

Since victorf is talking abour 'waves', my latest update on USDI wave development: Clear 5 impulsive waves up. Trend reversal already started. Should be doing a final subdivision now and may start anytime today or tomorrow to turn into correction mode - people who are interested to collect USD, short Euro or Assusie, or to long their USDI futures contract and has missed the chance when the dollar bottomed 2 weeks ago, should wait for this corrective wave to happen first before going in. I will signal 'when' ! "Waves" - what a wonder to behold !
