If inflation is coming because of fiat money printing, then Japan would have experienced inflation now due to their continuous fiat currency pumping more thn 20 years ago. But wait, things are getting cheaper in Japan and not more expensive over past decades and now the Jap government has recently declared 'deflation' in the economy and is going to pump in more fiat currency to push the economy into inflation gear.

If a method hasn't worked for 20 years, will it make it work if you keep doing the same thing over and over again? Fiat currency (whether USD or any other currency) erosion is a MYTH because with the same token that paper currency can be printed, the same can be easily done to destroy the numbers (liquidity) through maintaining or worst still, increasing the value of sovereign, corporate and consumer debt in pace with the creation of new money. Debt implosion within fiat currency is a scarier reality that not many people are willing to accept right now.
