Last week, I sounded my warning signal that USDI has started its tred reversal due to spotting of a clear 5 impulsive waves advance. Next week should be either a 5th wave extension or a bigger 3 waves correction downwards. This correction should draw some negative news about the economy because since the USDI trend reversal, good economic news has been follwoing a stronger dollar and vice versa. Note the reverse in mass pscyhology here that was very different since the beginning of 2009 when the dollar was falling.

This week, my attention turned to the VIX indices (both S&P and DJIA). Below is a DJ VIX chart. My wave count points to a complete or near complete 3 waves down which corrected nearly 100% of May 08 to Nov 08 impulsive wave up. What does this mean? If you remember my warning when the USDI was bottoming, then you know that the next wave up is a major trend reversal exactly trialing the USDI reversal. Smiley

 Alert Admin 		I do hope I am wrong in my analysis of VIX becaue I have limited data. Ewave principles state that the only kinds of waves that will correct 90% or 100% of the previous actionary wave can only be a wave 2 or wave B. If I am right, that means the next VIX wave up is a wave 3 and we all know what wave 3s are about...Smiley

It is almost two years liao - Jan 2007, since market went into a tail spin after hitting a high B4 hitting a low, a depression of century since 1930 plus ++.

This coming year can be a slightly better off with coming painted world economy. STI will remain range bound for this several months to come and remain about STI-3,000 points plus ++

My observation on water counter 'buy/sell volume':
Recent water-related counter gains are based on 'sell-into-strength' - beefing up brokers/traders year-end profit report.
If you had accumulated back then, good for you. Based on the current price, I'd say that the gains may be limited. So don't get caught when consolidation comes into effect.
Going into the year forward (2010), I'd place my money on the energy sector.

oil is forever in demand... u didnt put ELECTRICITY we use is from oil? oil need to make plastic, etc etc... see the oil price increase these past few days.. if oil is not in demand, the price will  be as good as WATER...free... 

 

water cant replace oil for sure... the car that use water to run cost super expensive to build now...
