I beg to differ.....Sgprean speaks better English generally. Two is more than enough, many countries only have ONE. Unless we're going to rejoin Malaysia or if Indonesia(different language again) have what it takes to be like the Chinese/Indian giant, whats the advantage of knowing another language? | ||||||

Hi friend, the future trend is not to our advantage. Malaysians (chinese) are better choice if i were to choose to employ someone whom could speak few languages. Why would i want to employ singaporeans who can only speak 2 languages and especially those young ones, cant even understand dialiects! Can you see the challenges young singaporeans are going to face in the future? Our government has tried to get the young ones to learn extra language and the schools have handed out survey to the parents which language they will want their children to take, majority say they want to learn Malay then followed by Bahasa then Tamil... We have to act fast and make these Elite of singapore to quickly tap on the 'indian wing' or whatever that could take us there fast..... Our kids' chinese standard, is seriously not as good as those Malaysians' kids, not to mention China..

I heard Malaysians' chinese standard is much higher than singaporeans. :) And, malaysians could speak 3 languages i.e. chinese, english and malays. Unlike singaporeans, speak only 2 languages. You guys(malaysians) will make it big next century! Young Singaporeans must buck up to learn that extra language i.e. either Bahasah indo or malay language......or perhaps, tamil. Definitely not Euro languages , that is the thing of the past liao..... Cheers !

Get Sp at 1.07. Ha ha, very sorry, too much carlsberg last nite, post CNY celebration with kakis at kopitiam. For tradition, need to give ang bao liao, he he. But going back mother-in-law place, at Labis, Johor, tomorrow morning for reunion dinnder cum NY.Only back to Spore 3rd day. 7th day go back to K.Kangsar, Perak, visiting old mum n relatives. Likely spend 2 weeks there, including Betong, Thailand, visiting old friends. AK wishes, All sifus, a very happy n prosperous CNY. Need to go down kopitiam liao. Frd asking for iPhone charger for temp charging. Bye.

Be it blue chips or penny stocks this time round are driven up at the same velocity, only penny stocks are accelerated much more!!! Huge upward rally is intact after Chinese Lunar new year, despite DOW nor Euro reagion are on red!!! (decoupling story is begun!)
