Let's say you have bought millions and millions of shares at a high price

and now you want to sell them away because you expect the downtrend to continue.

The only thing to do is to sell in spurts (in small batches) at good prices. And wait for

the price to rally a bit 'by itself', and then repeat the process many times until all are sold...

Many other big holders can also be having a similar view and doing something similar too... Smiley

Ya when people do not want to queue and go for direct selling.

I will call a sell down unless it is short selling. Is it short selling? Normally shortist will follow sell down or when people take profit, I do not think GenSp this last week had any profit to take!

iPunter      ( Date: 15-Aug-2012 10:12) Posted:

Not necessarily more people (in terms of numbers) are selling...

It can also mean that people with huge holdings are letting go at good prices (rallies)...

Means more people are selling than buying.

I will expect GenSp may go back to 2010 Casino pre Open level of 90 cts to 1.08

Looking at this counter's chart for the past weeks,

one can see that the big downspurts are on very high volume,

whereas the up moves are on low volume...

Techies may like to have a look at the chart...  Smiley

Most probably this stock will continue on a slow downtrending mode,

since the 'story line' now is that gambling by local people has reached saturation,

and efforts are being made to attract foreign high-rollers to keep the ball going.

But in view of the many alternative casinos in the region in the pipeline, this may

not provide much of a boost. Nevertheless, there will be betting opportunities...  Smiley

So Call "Big Fat Sheet"

iPunter      ( Date: 13-Aug-2012 17:25) Posted:

It has been falling like sheet for some time already...

Today it still dropped like sheet (- .035)

The smart money usually buy on bad news. But today, it is

still falling... thus a continued downtrend is more likely... Smiley

oldflyingfox      ( Date: 13-Aug-2012 17:10) Posted:

did not drop much after the  poor result, I think the current price already somehow factor in.

this ship always like to die slowly..

may be it's too big :)

of course a lot ppl will say it's well supported now..

i would agree with u all it looks well supported now..

1-2 months ago it was well supported at 1.42.. then 1.38.. then 1.35..

a few weeks ago it was well supported at 1.32.. then 1.28...

now it looks well supported at 1.22-1.23..

the prob is we will never know this " well supported" can last for how long? :)
