That is absolutely not true. In stocks, the majority will lose much, and only a small minority number of people will gain.

But like I say last 1-2 week... its time to short....the bull is feeling tired.....many penny too.... sentiment will turn bad to worse ..... in us debt ceiling..... in europe Italy and spain..... in asia north korea .... market is moving togethrr with all these...... 2nd qtr will not be nice for most investors........ stay sideline if u have a weak heart.... only selective penny play.... |

although dj closed -40 , it came back from -100+ points... intraday chart shows strong momentum up from start of mkt open. You might be surprised .....

From growth to recession? They might restate their last quarters growth figures when final data come in but for technical recession, it requires 2 successive quarters of contraction. So it cannot come suddenly there will be sufficient warning. Correct me if I am wrong.

No doubt, Dow is very strong, hardly see any correction. If there is, it is talking about only 5 to 10%… a lots of money are at the side line …
As for Singapore, it is hard to say… One good example was during the 1997 asia crisis, most asia markets dislodge fr US. Hopefully selective pennies still in play provided u pick the right one… Cheers

If you actually look at the intra day charts for Dow, Nasdaq and S& P 500 yesterday, you'll realise that indeed there was a dip- but many have overlooked that the dip was alot more significant when market opened than when market closed. In other words, the sudden initial dip in the 3 indexes (due to week US economic data) have been negated by the general bullishness of investors who scrambled to load up when prices fell. The recovery indicates that market sentiment as of now remains bullish, so will we witness a sudden dip in the STI on Monday? Barring any acts of valor from lil' Kim or a sudden spike in the price of your chicken rice, Monday should see more horizontal movement (or a slight correction) by the STI until the coast gets clearer. Take a chill pill and watch by the byelines, don't get too ruffled up by the naysayers. | ||||
