As for the nukes thing......frankly, the nuke was not successful.  Yes.... fission did take place.  But there is no signature detected of a complete chain reaction at critical mass lor......

China will not be so stupid to back N Korea and entangles herself in this unpopular issue, but what I am saying, I believe China can have such as influence to be able to defuse the tension mounting up that can lead to a war. 

Do not just look at the surface and all the reports and news  from the media only. There are lot and lot of things which are skin deep and you have to think much harder before you can understand the totality of the whole thing in the region. 

There are many "Whys" in the balance of power and the influence to the region and the world with each its own agenda, objectives and wielding of power. Be it Asia, Middle East, Gaza Stripe, Russia, Eastern Europe, etc.

One good example, Japan PM U-turns on his promise during the campaigning to relocate the US airbase in Okinawa. WHY??? So too many "whys" here for you to think about. Sorry I can not elaborate all for you.  Read more and analyst yourself if you are interested.
