I hold stock not more then 3 counters at one time. If needed to get into the mkt, I will top up from existing holding. Or else I will sell off and buy another counters. I ever tried shorting 5 counters at one go...piew, the mkt moves I also panic as I need to monitor 5 counters. I learned my lessons. Tonight DJ dunno can see 9600 or not. If hit, STI will have much to cheer about tomorrow. |

Agree. If can make $$, just one mkt will do. In fact just one counter will do if it outperforms the rest. If cannot even make $$ in own homeground, why venture outside.

For me local market is good enough. Just my personal opinion here as I don't see the need to buy so many stocks in so many markets. It is harder to track and manage your risk profile. | ||

US stockmarket is harder to play. Capital gain got tax de. Market is opposite time is at a disadv unless u are a night owl. Also stocks can be going up and sudden file chapter 11 be very careful. High risk High return. US stocks is for people with deep pockets, try it you will understand. (I thought i am good in the local market, try the US one got burn badly before) Just my warning, familarise with the US market by doing fake trading first, the momentum movement is much stronger than local market. Also see if the market sudden drop, can you sleep well not for the faint heart. | ||

who is Madam Ho ? well, US shares is easy to play to have gain of 50%-200% in just few days... not to mention, if you buy STI shares last week, now also enjoying 30-50% gain in less than a week. according to my beloved chart produced by SJ forumer, it will spike up to 2100 points, and come down ALL THE WAY TO 1800 level again.. believe it or not... we will come to bottoming process, OR ELSE, STI just break 2100 points, and don't come back.. if come back, SURELY MUST visit 1800 points, so, the situation is this, unless they go all the way, and that's it... crisis over, bull run starts.. but do u think it is possible? for me, i don't think so, the fundamental problems still there, so, i will let go those i purchased last few weeks, if the price is good.. then, wait for the crash again.... cheers. |

Don't short any stock that is rising. Wait for the reversal downtrend. But then you also need to see your downtrend line for individual stock for right moment to short. I am actually have 1 in mind but not time to short yet | ||
