You are right... Bad traders cannot be called traders... Simply buying ansd selling senselessly and haphazardly or based purely on emotion and gut feel is not trading... Repeat, that is not trading... it is an utter folly. Rather, trading skill is the result of proper quality instructional preparation, plus much insight acquired through long experience 'in the trenches' ... In other words, it does not come easy...

I would suggest watching the China's market closely and SSE's direction for the short term - the world's growth engine for now. PM Wen has said the Greece's problem "isn't that simple", while maintaining that China's grow is still intact. | ||||

iPunter, you are right, it boils down to, "the newbie dont know how to do it , or where to start". It is worth while to pay to learn if self-learning is not the choice.

Agree, but the key word here is "conversely" meaning a bad trader here.

Indeed these r all very short term measures tat only make sense when taken as a whole with other indicators. Our own little spill they said effects remain for a few years. BP's will take a couple centuries? They will have to pay thru their nose. | ||||

This is not too correct... Many do not understand fully the concept and methodology of trading... Thus, it is not possible for knowledgeable traders to be even "pok!", leave alone being bankrupt. Only plungers do...

Srangely, US consumer's spending confidence has picked up, but, in a short break of one week, this kind of confidence can drop ? hahahah! Is it only one person like the superstar snatched up at one go, 10 pieces of the leather LV bags and the figure reporeted as 'confidence up'. Nest, comes the BP oil spill clean up. US is confident that it will clear up, and next day, no more confidence. LOL!!

"Do their own analysis and research" means nothing to many newbie traders if in the first place, they don't know how to do it, or where to start... Thus, in reality, to be able to play stocks well, trading education is a must. But many do not see any need for such education but simply think trading is only a matter of getting stock tips from others ... |

Yes, I agree. Too many people asking others to Buy or Sell without explaining their reasons. I know there are people trying to fool others into certain counters so that they can profit from other losses. But the people who follow others blindly cannot blame others for their losses too. If they don't care enough about their money to do their own research and analysis, they loss their rights to blame others.
