Banking stocks would be good bets. DBS at S$20.00 would be at a technical support level and close to 1.5X FY07 P/B. SingTel is well supported at S$3.80 and if should hold if it breaks at S$3.70. As such, the S$3.70-3.80 range would be a good entry range. Resistance is at S$4.10. SGX is supported at S$14.00 and a break at S$13.70-13.80 should offer support. We also like developers, Wing Tai and Ho Bee at S$2.75-2.79 and S$1.75-1.78 respectively.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	syrix11, 1. no, total div is 33 cents (3+5+special 25 cents) because the 20.5 cents is nett, so it is actually 25 cents less 18%=20.5cents. You may see these as two parts 2. First part, 8 cents less tax, this shall be in Cash, if you already own the shares and eligible for dividend. 3. second part, the net (already deduct tax) 20.5 cents, this special dividend is for subscribing to 1 for 10 Rights at its Rights Issue Price of $2.05 each. The meaning of 1 for 10 rights is the owner of Shares are given a RIGHT  ENTITLEMENT to subscribe 10% of their share holdings at a Rights Issue price of S$2.05. the owner can choose to subscribe, or just collect the 20.5 nett dividend. For example, if you already have 10000 shares, you are entitled the dividend of 10000*0.205 net= S$2050 and this can be used to pay for the 1000 Rights Share costing exactly S$2050. If you choose to subscribed, eventually after CDP process the application and successful, the owner will have total of 11000 shares. Hope this helps.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	what singaporeguy said is correct,  yesterday drop is not too many. imagine 3.46 - dividend (0.33) = yesterday should drop to 3.12 range, but it didn't... meaning, if you buy now at 3.02, actually u are buying 3.02 + 0.33 = 3.36 last week, and remember, it was 3.38 last week.. so, the price is just "so-so", not a very bargain price to be honest.. but again, for long run, you will see 3.50, 3.80 EASILY.
