When Export to US and Europe drop as demand falls. It will hit asia too... we are all connected ... think like domino effect.
Example when people earn lesser people are wont travel offen .... look what happen in late 2008 - early 2009.

Certain Issues you have to consider.

1) China has to do something about its cooling effects. It has to balance up the trade further. I can tell you this Only CHINA can save the world now :)
2) Countries around the world will be seeing the fading of stimulus effect. They have to make something happen fast before something bad starting to roll.
3) US Jobless Rate Drop to 429,000 this week .... good news ... but Empire State show slow manufacturing....
4) Singapore this year will be good but what i am worried is next year if things around the world didnt turn around fast.... 

I still expect market to be tank for a bit till next week..... Good Luck !

Asian markets poised for 20% upside this year: analysts

SINGAPORE : Analysts said Asian markets are poised for up to 20 per cent upside this year amid the current market correction.

They believe domestic consumption plays in Asia are the best buys, given the continued uncertainty from Europe and the US.

These include banks, property and some of the region's biggest blue chip stocks, but there are some pitfalls.

Economic data on jobs and consumer spending coming out of the West have not been too encouraging.

For instance, US retails sales fell for the second straight month in June by 0.5 per cent, worse than expectations for a 0.1 per cent decline.

Experts said this has forced some investors to the sidelines and markets have reflected the unease.

Asian markets are down 5-10 per cent on-year so far, but there's a silver lining for investors.

Gabriel Gan, senior VP of Equity Sales/Dealing at AmFraser Securities said: "Investors are expecting Asia to remain robust despite what is happening in Europe. So I guess we have suffered a little bit, especially the China stock market.

"But right now, valuations have become attractive in relative terms, so investors are starting to bargain hunt amidst the bad news we are looking at every day."

One of AmFraser's top picks is Osim, the luxury lifestyle company, which has seen demand for its products rise, in line with the rising affluence among Asians.

Asset manager Henderson Global Investors recommends banks and property in China, as it downplays worries concerning the tightening measures implemented by the Chinese government.

Andrew Beal, director of Pacific Equities, Henderson Global Investors said: "The portfolio is orientated very much across Asia towards domestic themes, financials, properties, consumer and industrials, which take in companies like airlines and infrastructure companies as well. That's where we see the long term growth.

"And through this correction, we're looking to refresh the portfolio and pick up some of these stocks that have been unfairly punished."

Such counters include Samsung, Hong Kong's Sun Hung Kai and the Industrial & Commercial Bank of China.
