Technical Analysis on STI STI index failed to sustain above 3000 over the long weekend as investors cash in on uncertainty ahead. Important points to note 1) In weekly charts, a black candle sticks with long upper/lower shadow affirm to the lack of conviction from investors for the 2 year high record. 2) The trading volume continued to increase as the STI reaching new 2 year height thrill the investors. 3) MACD and RSI indicators are bullish as both indicators continued to trend upwards 4) STI is currently sustained by major technical support at 2959 5) Monitor the major resistance at 3000 since STI has fell below due to profit taking. Important resistance of STI: 3000 (Daily charts) Immediate Support of STI: 2959 (Daily charts) SEE COMPLETE REPORT HERE MY tactics: We would suggest taking profit for short term traders or keeping at sideline to wait for more news. Any further upside will be limited since earnings season are going to wind down. |

last Five traded day has been good to SGX and to STI, for STI has fallen again to below 3,000 mark, marked down by 11.70 pt to STI 2,995.06 points. Today has been a good day. Taken some profit and now going shopping. Next week will be the beginning of the Bear Market, so get ready to go short. This is not to say that there is nothing to Buy.
