As long suspected, the sharp recovery is unsustainable. The greatest tell tale sign is the jobless recovery in the US, hence no investors who have done their homework will buy into the story of a quick recovery. The market was in self denial but with Govenments admitting the slowdown in the second half, the market is now recalibrating itself to align with the economic realities. How long and far the recalibration will take is still anybody's guess as there is still a lot of uncertainties. Just like the subprime fiasco, few or no analysts knew how deep is the debt problem, let alone the multiplier effect and reverberation it brings on the the economy. Of course trading is another story but that's outside my comfort zone. I only believe in investing with sure gains :)

I've been seeing the Bear's shadow for the last 2 weeks.

Last Friday, I saw the Big-Hairy Bear standing in front of me.

The missing National Day Rally is already a very clear sign.

While many people were hoping for a Rally last Friday afternoon, I was busy selling off my Long positions and taking profits.

Starting yesterday, I've gone into Short Positions and currently about 70% of my short positions are profitable.

This is just the beginning of the Bear Market. If you can, I suggest you go Short too.

But, No Naked Short Please, use your CFD account.
