STI needs to breach EMA 50 resistance at 2547 to reverse current downtrend. Indicators are looking oversold so I expect some sort of rebound on Monday especially with Wall Street managing to reverse losses to close with a gain on Friday. The major STI up-trend line from October last year has been breached and heading down driven by the weakness in the indicatiors (willR, ADX) that I tracked faithfully. I expect the STI to continue its downturn till it reached its second resistance at 2450. The other major indices DJI and Nikkei are looking much the same situation whilst HongKong seems to be the least bearish possibly because of the China factor. So brace yourself for more downside next week. If you can manage it; sell down some of your holdings to buy it back cheaper; if not, I hope you knew what you are buying - to take a leaf out of Warren Buffet. Good luck to all fellow investors. |

Next week to end of May will be very important. 2 situations will likely happen. Either it got to rebound or drop further. Can the STI rebound if Dow Jones drop below 11000 next week? If early next week Dow Jones can rebound the STI will most likely rebound. Most global markets (US, Europe & Asia) are oversold. STI seemed to be well supported around 2480. Last week the STI dropped below 2490 3 times but each time it managed to close above 2490. |

my take is that the market is treading down, if you look at the various technical indicitators such as RSI MACD etc. The real sell down is not here yet as most margin traders are still in money. Wait till the first meltdown that will wipe these margin traders, and there's where u can see a very clear downtrend in the STI index. Most commodities holders that I knew that got in the market sometime last 1-2 months are suffering huge losses. Bear reader |
