It is absolutely correct to point out that faith does not work in the stock market... But then, people tend to look for things to have faith in. So when something appears to be sensible to them, they may even 'go all out' to believe in that something or someone and thus act, consciously or unconsciously, according to that faith they have come to possess. |

bedoop marky27. the point of investing is this: you never trust what you hear, from here, from the coffeeshop, even from fund managers themselves. You hear what ppl say, then you do your research on it, and buy only if it satisfies your criteria. o/w, even listening to the best of 'gurus' (be they templeton or buffet) and just rushing to buy is only herd mentality. In the market there is no such thing as faith. There's only your mind, and what you make of what you see. Trust no one but yourself. Lose or win, blame/credit no one but yourself. It is an independent game above all. |

Hi marky27, Haha... I never tell people when is the right time to buy.... its up to you and your trading philosophy. This counter is probably on a TA uptrend still but its overbought now. |

tech update on HB for those vested: Institutional play. Both retail and institutional punting HB today. Very strong buy AND sell vols. For morning session, stands at: 1047 lots bought via 57 buyers, 1007 lots sold via 65 sellers. Ave lot size = 18 vs 15 (buyers vs sellers). But for large lots (defined as above 20lots): note up to 170 lots thrown at one time. =>clear sign of institutional play. Buy up is an auspicious 888lots by 21 buyers (ave = 42), sell down = 720 lots via 15 sellers. (ave = 48). So trend likely indeterminate. appears as though ppl are contra-ing and some shortists with T+30 in action... |

Its almost impossible to catch a stock at its valley or peak unless you're glued to the computer screen. The best retail players can do is to ride the trend in between these 2 points. |

hey pet, nope, your missy here did not sell too early... rem i said before i sell on one of two signals? one, if the trend reads sell; two, if i see another counter whose upside is potentially more than the one i'm holding? sold off hb yesterday 'cos went into cdl h trust on mon. vested at 1.8, it's nicely at 2 now. ;) glad you made more tho! :))) |
