Yangzijiang Shipbuilding: PPL Holdings rejects Sembcorp Marine’s payment Summary: Sembcorp Marine (SMM) yesterday tendered payment of S$59.4m to PPL Holdings (PPLH) for the purchase of the remaining 15% stake in PPL Shipyard. However, PPLH rejected the payment, which is not surprising given that SMM’s offer is only 55% of the offer price by Yangzijiang Shipbuilding’s (YZJ) consortium. In a separate announcement, Baker Tech also reiterated that it has sought and received legal advice that SMM “has no basis for its claims”. YZJ’s CEO has said that he plans to meet Temasek Holdings in the hopes of reaching an amicable agreement. Given the uncertainty over the deal which may lead to near term knee jerk reactions, we remain prudent and maintain our HOLD rating and fair value estimate of S$1.60 on YZJ. |

One broker's future mother in law told her future son in law that she wants to buy YZJ at 1.35. To impress her mother in law that he is a somebody in Cecil Stree (Singapore version of Dow streeT), he surpressed the price lah.... It seems another Nick Leeson in the making

I won't be surprise if both buyer and seller is the same person. It seems that this person is suppressing the price maintaining it at around 1.38 - 1.39. Having noticed the volume pattern for the past few days, thare are many "fake lots" queing on both buy and sell queue. We are talking about 2000 to 4000 lots each time, trying to create a fake impression to both public buyers and sellers. Once the target is acheived, 2000 - 4000 lots will be cancelled each time, and large volume of buy or sell around 2000 lots will take place within 30 to 45mins. This is based on what i observed for the past 2 days... I may be wrong...

Kinda agreed... Someone (most probably SCM related) is definately trying to manipulate the price of YZJ base on the lost of TRUE Investors. I guess there's only 1 intention, to make investors lose faith/confidence in YZJ. Sad to say it's a foul play that shareholders like us has to bare. I think someone in Singapore has to jump floor in order to make them realise they have caused death because of their selfishness/unfairness in business. |
