We cannot  possibly be monitoring the stock market everyday for months with  inaction, right?  If so, its  a waste of brain power.  But you know shorting is can  also yield  profits  the past 1-2 wks as long as one knows what one is gunning for,  a specific  timeframe for it & be disciplined to adhere to  the plan.  That said, i'm not persistent in thinking  bull nor bear. Take for instance, short when at peak & when no one  here will hear of any dip coming up & close the short position fast  when  the majority here wants to open a short position. It works.
