STI to cross 3000 boosted by long-term investors Post Reply Rate topic

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	STI index has re-test the critical resistance at 3180 but failed to breakout as investors took profit from this level. 1)  In weekly chart, a black candle stick with long upper shadow similar to “shooting star” indicates investors remains uncertain on the economy ahead and choose to take profit ahead. 2)  The weekly trading volume falls greatly in this week due to holiday session. 3)  MACD and RSI indicators are flat as RSI trend sideways. 4) STI is currently supported by the major support at 3120. 5) The critical resistance at 3180 seems to be gaining strength as index has been rebound from this resistance for the past 2 months. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	For those interested to know the TA for STI, I have uploaded it to my blog: ckhpaul.blogspot.com 1. In general, STI is caught in Side trending of 3180 and 3100. From my TA, a clear downslope Trendline is forming at resistance. (see for yourself at my blog). 2. In my blog, I did mention about Wave 3-4 formation which is the Corrective Wave in theory. If resistance is broken, i clear upward pressure will buildup. 3. One thing which might kills this wave - is the End of QE2. From historical chart QE1, the last ending is an correction of 15% downward. In theory, the wave support line is important to justfy this downward event. If US did QE3 we will turn bearish with year end target. i will post detail analysis if u guys require. right now we will wait for tonights job report if its bad we will open short position on monday.

USA powerhouse still reeling from the credit crunch of 2008 ....now Mr Obama behaving like Mr Nixon..... most of them are lowering their risks.. Europeans are still a plate of sand all struggling for power or leadership depending on how you look at it......Banks are double crossing the governments and most likely to go into defensive.......now with the latest blame game on the mysterious bacteria, trades are gona get hit badly SWF from middle east are suffering from post USA trauma...... now focusing their attention to clamp down on protestors than to make more money , power > money > rights....... China is the only reason STI is still above 3000 , as long as HSE and Shanghai Exchange does not lower their operation cost and regulation, credit will not likely to move to the mainland.However grade B china companies is not grade B western companies.....with E& Y around,rating for these grade B china companies not attractive.... Expectation will be negative for the year with the latest supply crunch.....but ACFTA should keep STI floating as long Singapore hold the upper hand in the dealings ACFTA= Nuclear Bomb of Singapore   Cheer
