lol. idesa my dear, it isn't up to me to say how the market moves, ya know. i can't stop it for ya. haha. but if it counts for any, 6.6 was the intraday lowest possible: i had said the low of the OHLC (open high low close). If the patterns follow, then, SGX is likely to open with a slight gap down (assuming dow down tonight; up would be different calculations). Its intraday high may be a few cents around today's close. That would be your chance to run. Likely, it'd come around 915 am, or in the second up time, ~11 am. o/w, long term, the signal is down. long term tech support is still at 5.5. |

Hi Jason, yes, thanks and wish us luck this Monday. Futures in GREEN now. But I dun usually get excited seeing futures and predicting the DOW performance. It could start green but close red, and vice versa. If close green, its likely just a technical rebound from last night's drop. I think we will see red tonight. Hopefully not very red not 3 digits red. |

Hi bro idesa168, from my last post, i was saying hate to hold stocks over weekend too... But still held with 3 lots of this counter. Just went over to see the future again in last 2 mins,,,,,,,, suprisingly that it's now only minus 2 pts. The Europe sides also shows sign of recovering,..... Hope all this is now just a sign but reality... Then we can exit on monday before any "melons and beadcurb" happen.... Hee... let's together cross our fingers ok? happy weekend to all bros here and happy trading on monday....

I bought 9 lots of SGX @7.05 after seeing it testing the lows of 7.03 a few times today. When it came up from 7.03 the last last time, I got in quickly @7.05. The buying up then was not strong, but when it crosses 7.07/7.08, the buying up seemed aggressive that I was reluctant to let go when it crossed 7.12 (my initial target). Intend just to make a couple of hundreds for the weekend from the pattern I spotted, range bound 7.03-7.12. There is 8-9 cents to be made from the up and down. Then I got a call from my boss asking me to his room for a short discussion. When I came out, wah almost time to mkt close, 4.57pm. Rushed to my computer intend to sell, not wanting hold over the weekend. Then, so unlucky, my computer hanged on me that I needed to restart. By the time my computer rebooted, and I logged onto my iocbc, mkt already closed - 5.04pm. Really bad luck right, to have been called by boss at the critical moment and computer hanged on me! But was also lucky that it closed 7.16. I dun know my fate on Monday when mkt opens. High chance DOW will close in RED, now futures very red. I have never....never left open position this size over the weekend, especially nowadays the mkt is so unpredicted (or would say mkt is predicted in red most of the time). If the mkt tonight crash, then...... Elf, you are scarring me with your 6.60 prediction. Can that happens on Tuesday? Let me exit first lah! |

Congratulation, those who sucessfully shorted this early morning, by end of the day, you should have acquired some beer and 3 meats one soup money leow:) My view is, under such vulnerable market, esp DJ normally calling the shot for global markets, don't keep the stock over weekends unless President G. Bush asked u to do so. On the other hand you can predict how DJ performs at 2100hrs Spore time by watching Eu stock market results at 1600hrs at Ch 5 Teletext page 262. If EU plunges, DJ will likely follow suit. Hence, you have to make your decison on your portfolio between 1600-1700 Spore market's time. Money in your pocket is your money and think that next Mon is a new day, start all over again loh! There is no necessity for you to worry when DJ opens tonite at 0900 Spore time till tomorrow 5am. Relax lah abang, jangan tension. Wishes All and families have a happy weekends. Don't go JB oh! Traffic Jam unless u take Ferry at Tanah Merah to JB Duty Free Shop, Lido Beach. SGX low 0.87 in 2001 and current peak at 17.20 in 2007.... This reminds me of the Luo Han .. the Bubble teas and Hello Kitty .... Under the current situation, those with cash are holding tight ... and no one is going to risk on all the financial instrument promoted by our SGX ... and the transaction volume will be down... ===> Fee incomes will be reduced drastically..... ==> SGX will suffer less income ..... More margin call ==> more loss ===> less transaction values ===> less commissions ... so if one look back to its business..... to the historical earning record .... the value of SGX should be at its 2005 or 2006 ... or worst still at 2002 level ..... when the market was totally bear ..... with low value transactions... |
