doing window dressing every month-end is very tired one... you know. this month window dressing for who to see ? unless you are to prepare report of your portfolio/fund results to stakeholders on monthly basis, otherwise most fund/institutions people will do this on quarterly-year end basis,,,

Players has had read into the game, and STI 3,000 point is valid, not expecting DOW to down another by several hundred points this week on Friday 29-07-2011. Today (Tues) 26-07-2011. Just offer my alternative opionion. |

STI has broken out of a multi month triangle consolidation as of last Friday. In terms of technicals, this is a strong positive. We now need to see if price can maintain above 31,50 or at a minimum, 3,140 where the 200 day average is. Looking for a break above 3182/83 (last week’s high) as an upside breakout trigger. (support/resistance). Macro risks remain a threat to the STI's breakout though, caution still advised until everything blows over. Support at 3,160 before 3,150 and 3,140. Resistance at 3,180/83 then 3,200. (Phillip SR) |

yep, complete different era. See how they dressed, and the men in china wearing plait. No PCs and radar stations etc. People have to travel by ship for 3 to 6 months to get to places where people can reach by slightly more than 10 hours flights nowadays. I ever heard a guy said that the most amusing nature of human being is the flexibility. The way people adapt and accept....be it failure or loss of love ones, one day they will come to accept and then adapt to it. which is very painful and almost impossible at the beginning. ( of course they are some couldn't take it). so one day if we have to plant vegs and have chicken running around in our small lawn in the house we buy in other big country when currencies are not recognised--we adapt and accept. so for those rich ones, buy one in Italy , Spain, France or other parts of Europe which has good view and big compound. For not so rich, buy in Thailand , Vietnam or indonesia etc......we can still survive. The problem is life is short, if one is too concern about the crisis here and there and forgot to live day by day, that is a worry. last night Dow down 88points, and it's said that investors are panics about the problem but have confident that it will be solved....................... |

1929, the year my parent was born, you know what, they are those scary type. they used to tell me not to comment on govt policy, wait police will catch you, no wonder LKY was so successful, you got a group of ppl who are easily scare and lead, no wonder he was successful. and furthermore with his wonderful forsight, all end well for Singapore. An mostly obedient people who carry out his plan well. Fast forward to today, people like you and me, total different. Mkt collapse, within a year we chase all stock , like March 2009. 1929 and 2009, 2 different type of people, one who scare still dare not do anything for 10 year, the other , not scare, like u and me, still in the mkt and buy during this debt crises. what say you???are u scare, me scare to dies only, cos u only got one life to dies, but to lose money , we can always make it back, so long you dont put all in.
