Although it is a bullish engulfing pattern, the volume is too low for a sustained trend reversal. Likely to be a technical rebound, ie, go up a bit, then down a lot. I have just taken profit. Trade carefully. |

hey, yep, tech rebound. wasn't expecting it today tho; thought tmrw. shows how one can never predict the market fully. :) idesa/arowana: yeps. i get what you both mean. certainly not going for those hocus-pocus cure. Yep, i was medically trained; i know there's no cure for lupus, and that they're at the end of their lives already. I pretty much know they'll die by end of this year, although i haven't told them that yet: you can't kill a person that way. Plus, as part of a twin myself, i know that when one dies, the other will lose the will to live. so yea. there's stuff that you can't even tell them. (btw, the twins are not from S'pore. they're from the US. but all their lives spent against the odds: grew up with alcohol, violence, abuse, below the poverty line. They're so poor, and so sick that right now, they can only eat rice with applesauce.--never thought that the US would be like this, huh?) So yea. the $$ isn't for hocus pocus cures. It's for proper medication-NSAIDs, and food, and doctors--for the congestive heart failure they're experiencing. Very matter-of-factly, it's not even to life i'm looking--i know there's no cure: the only hope lies in clinical trials--what are known as autologus stem cell transplantations--but i do not think they'd be able to get to that: the odds of socio-economic background are against them--what i am looking to, is to try and make life more comfortable for them before they die. Broken family: the father (an alcoholic, abusive and no-gooder) had refused to let them go to the hospital; instead had asked them why they costed so much money, til both were spasming up from the progressive heart failure for weeks: mini-strokes, breathing problems, digestive problems, and the mother was spending days and nights rushing from one twin to another at home: no medication, no proper food, nothing. Until we had insisted that they got to a doctor. Man is a human. Even if we have animal instincts, we are not supposed to die like animals. That's what friends do. You stick by each other no matter what. So yes, arowana: it is quality, not quantity. and haha. ok, better not take up space. there's your elfin story for the day. cheers and happy trading! :) |

SGX will announce its Qtly result 14 Apr 08. The result definitely will be disappointing, say City Group. CG grade SGX 5.50-6.50, after the announcement with current global market situation remains unchange or declining further. |

perhaps i should clarify... we can spend money to make them more comfortable but please dun throw money for non-existent cures or mumbo jumbo. it will ruin the family financially and/or make the patient feel worse/pain. is it quality or quantity of life that we want? |

I am a father of a child, I know how it feel if my child is dying slowly. It's terrible and it is horrifying. When I was single and no child, it will not feel it as much as now. I will by all means keep my child alive even if it cost my fortune, that's parental love. But if we stood far away and look at it, are we making the sick one alive for his seek or for selfish matter that we will be extremelt devastated if we lost him?....My friend's dad was in his 90's and was dying of old age. Because they love him so much, they spent lots of $$ to keep him alive and the doctors in the hospital suggest respectory device to keep him alive as his lungs were unable to breath by themselves. After 2 mths, he still pass out. The bill, hefty $300,000. I agree with arowana that we should not tweak the fate of anyone if the god had wanted him to report up there. $$ is a material thing, but they are the driving force of some doctors, who will not hesitate to ask families for hefty bill. I am not saying ALL doctors, but are some..... You have my blessing. |

elf, correct me if im wrong... thot there is no cure for lupus? it is best to let it run its course. i know it is hard and even sound cruel but this is from my doctor brother and my mum has it too. the wat nots being prescribed is juz doctors and pharmas milking money out of families. |
