STI to cross 3000 boosted by long-term investors

Doesnt make sense also. Friday i Q for 0.230 but i didnt get it so i cancel around 5pm in case got idiot throw down 1 rubbish lots to me. So i set Q for 0.225 for mon morning again and today sat i got it! That why i said sat and sun off market time got trading meh??? If system got lagging backlog i should get it for 0.230 and not 0.225. Something not right leh. But anyway is a discount for me. But i curious to know why like that ah? Market off time can trade meh???

master warren, i think u must be using iocbc.. i apologise on behalf of the ppl.. they are upgrading their system :) so i guess the algorithm somehow triggered the sms :P

Since you said there is maintenance, maybe yesterday they have a backlog of messages not sent out yesterday and today the system is just back thus you received a belated order confirmation? (I think their system engineers work 24/7)...

Anyone encounter this before? I play so long first time kanna this. Yesterday night i Q at 0.225 for monday morning, cause i think some kiasi will throw down and i hop. But just now sat at around 1pm+ i suddenly got stock alert said i buy liao??? Sat market got open meh??? Call my broker but didnt answer, maybe she run road liao :) Last friday close was 0.230, can like that trade during sat and sun meh??? I also Q some at other counter but didnt get anything yet. Anyone know why off market can trade like this? I first time kanna this leh :) And my broker house is under maintenance also. And now i so wish US Ah Long debt faster settle, Babama must use backside power liao la, dont play with fire leh, wait all kanna burn pain pain. LOL :) |

The debt issue will be over by tues. US can't afford to default. So long as US$ remains weaker than asian currencies, the funds will continue to play in the asian mkts. But dont know how mkt will act on monday. What should we do? Some buy and bet that they compromise. But some don,t and wait for outcome. But for me, i bought use about a quater and wait for outcome with the other 3/4, on standby if worse case, wait till it get worse before entering the mkt and buy slowly, cause it wont be a few day affair, it is going to be a long drawn out event. But if debt ceiling somehow boost invester confident and mkt soar,will buy high and sell higher. what is your strategy??? can you all please share your plan?? some say buy gold, but i see always mkt crash , gold crash with it, because ppl sell gold to compensate for lose in mkt. |

In last week, STI merely gain 6 points from the opening of 3183 and close higher at 3189. A white candle sticks with short upper/lower shadow affirms that investors are hesitant on buying further upwards and choose to take some profit off the table. Key Economics Data report: The outcome on U.S debt ceiling remains unknown as Congress bickered and postponed voting. Congress was expected to continue their session over the weekend to reach a common plan by Monday. The legislation must be agreed in time for Congress to approve an increase in the debt ceiling before Tuesday’s deadline. In the coming week, the most important report is Friday’s July employment report, but there is also ISM manufacturing data, monthly auto sales and updates from chain stores on their monthly sales. Technical Analysis on STI STI index has broke the critical resistance at 3180 and close at 3189. 1) In weekly chart, a white candle sticks with short upper/lower shadow indicates that the market sentiment is shaky as STI passes through the wall of resistance from 3180 to 3200. 2) The weekly trading volume remains high as investors buy on specific stocks which they are bullish on the earnings report. 3) MACD and RSI indicators are bullish as RSI trend upwards. 4) STI is currently supported by the resistance turned support at 3180. 5) The support at 3180 seems to be holding on well as STI re-test this support several times in this week and are able to close above this level. Wah lao iPunter so pessimistic ...... not the first time got Armageddon calling..... not gona be the last anyway.. nonetheless , market already factor in the debt crisis on their expectation..... regardless of the vote .. investor already lose confidence liao..... we got andreytan, risktaker and our beloved Hulumas ........ no need scare got red ..... they will led us into the green..... IMO , the worsing debt crisis all over at West is just a distraction and it was on the table for 6 month b4 it became the present state of event ..... just curious what the Western powers trying to hide... Thk. Just contributing to SJ forum. Nothing matter to STI Index till is is last stop at 17:00:00 hours. Like todate market index depend alot more on none technical weightage, just the DOW alone and in uncertainty on U.S. debt crisis countdown is more then enuff to pull every regional bourses into d red this volatile week.
