STI to cross 3000 boosted by long-term investors Post Reply Rate topic

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Usually the start of selling is gradually... around 100 over pts drop... then follow by a massive selldown which can be over 500pt drop.... Dow is dropping down now again after retracement up, the question is when will be the massive selldown....

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	i am not sifu but here's my advice. if u plan to buy and hold (aka invest).. look for blue stocks (3 banks, sembcorps, kepcorp, wilmar..etc) dont put all $ in yet. i wouldnt encourag 50% now.. so it depends on ur risk/reward appetite. 3 banks = i rank them as the most stable in STI, even if market crashes... they wont die. kep corp/sembcorp = depends on how confident u are in oil & gas.. the risk is higher than the banks but they can run faster than the banks if the market sentiment favours them. wilmar = commodity play..:) there are many other blue stocks like F& N, citydev..etc i dont monitor them so i cant comment much Vallee      ( Date: 17-Aug-2011 09:33) Posted: Good day Sifu alexchia01!
