Babcok&Brown into alternative investmet I scared scared. And their history on SGX not as long as MIIF so I give it a miss. A look at their trading volume as compared to MIIF speaks of investor confidence in this stock :P |

Latest announcement from MIIF is they have sold off one of their assets to get the funds and focus to Asia infrastructure. Was it sold to raise cash in their bid for Spore local 3 TuasPower, PowerSeraya, SingPower? CS should also be bidding for these. Those 3 power companies are almost guaranteed to make monies. So investors getting both MIIF and CS shares appear to be a good strategy? Of cuz there will be outsiders who will join in the bid but as we all know, in Spore specifically it is wiser to take side on some bidder with govt links or backing for Spore state owned assets hahahhahaa.... :) |

The prospectus stated 6.75% dividend payout till 31 March 2008. IPO price - $0.89 Dividend - $0.06 $0.06/$0.89 x 100% = 6.74% so it mean just that... nothing more, nothing less. |

The latest announcement from CS is there will be no performance fee for last quarter and they intend to stick to their forcasted 6 cents per unit dividend payout. Am I to interpret the 6 cents is for the coming year end or for the months ending at Jun only ? |

Asterisk, large selldowns in not an inducement to buy/sell. Y? it all abt demand and supply with different strategies and mindset in place.. e.g. i may be bullish on counter ABC bt anothe party is bearish, thus the counter party selldown ABC while i will either "quietly" collect on the sly or do a married deal with that counter party.. branding played a important part in doing business, and is you yourself think Temasek is quite of a brand, then go ahead.. you might be rewarded for trusting this brand. sometimes, large selldown/buyups are done by hedge fund participants or fund managers and this again doesn't constitutes any long/short positions as hedge fund players employs all sorts of "tactics" just to win $$, while fund managers are looking at quarterly or annual performance, hence the term "window dressing".. (u get wat i mean hor) |

The NTA used to be 89~90cts during the IPO Pro. Due to the printing of new notes to pay management perhaps, its NTA stand at 75cts now. The profit from citygas also lame.....it is like working for McDonald for $0.5/hour instead of $4.5. 600M company should make like 600M style.....not 11M So how ? low asset value, low profit.....I think difficult. |

Published June 15, 2007 CitySpring among five bidders shortlisted for Basslink: sources (SYDNEY) Five bidders including Australia's Transfield Services Ltd and APA Group are on the shortlist for the sale of British utility National Grid's Basslink Pty Ltd, sources close to the deal said yesterday. Singapore's CitySpring Infrastructure Trust, Australia's Hastings Diversified Utilities Fund and funds group Industry Funds Management are also on the list, the sources said. Offers for Basslink, the world's biggest underwater power cable linking mainland Australia with Tasmania, were expected to exceed A$1 billion (S$1.3 billion), sources told Reuters last week. National Grid has said it expects the sale of Basslink to be completed by September. Australian power and gas utility SP Ausnet Ltd had earlier expressed interest but was no longer in the race, one source said. Asterisk, i dunno wat u mean by "Rogue, u still reading lol wad u say? ".. anyway, if u "traced" back my postings and refer to the charts, you will see that i had "termed" this as a "kelong masquerade".. Y? at that time, market sentiments and various "criterias" "hovering" ard CitySpring not very positive (in my context) bt the market depth for this counter at that period was "very bullish"... for me, when i entered the market, i will assumed "various characters" for differential plays.. e.g. yield playing (super long positions where i won't bother/see the daily fluctation of px), "hot tips/rumours" (super focus + nimble actions, cut loss when things dun turn out the "actual way", TA (gif a chance of 30 days, CFD la hahaha), momentum plays (yesterday just entered positions of its beautiful breakout, bt alas, lost to Mr Market..).. so when you bought in CitySpring, wat was the "deciding" factor? for me, i won't entered it as yield not attractive, TA not applicable as too "new", haven't heard of any hot tips/rumours on this counter, and did not monitor this counter for any potential momentum plays.. or and yah, experienced quite bad experiences if just buy a counter due to who who in it so, won't be looking at this now.. as for bail out or hold, think you should really ask urself lor.. wat are the screening techniques u applied in buying this counter?? so if u had did ur homework, i think u urself will have the best answers as profit or losses is all ur own hard earned $$... and especially wif the current "irrational market", anything which seemed impossible might just be easily possible.. dare nt make any calls "openly" in the current market now... |

may sounds stupid bt if one uses cfd and short this counter to "hedge" against falling prices when one oreadi have a long position?? there is a lot of details n calculations to be iron out la bt generally somehow similar theory ba.. |
