Ben is smart. Just talk only and up already! Ha..Last time must print money but now talk only and gets things done! clever.

Few things we have to know (i read from the internet):
- don't fight the FED. (like don't fight  any gov,  flow with the wind, they have upper hand)
- Do you know Ben  achieved  a SAT score of 1590/1600 !! Very intelligent!
- He's from Harvard and MIT.
(go to wikipedia.org and read about him, interesting background)

Happy, don't need to hear all the shortists' posts now...hope all change to long now..

Ah Ben speech is on Friday, STI chiong on Thurs Aug 25th...STI on profit taking - Friday Aug 26th.

At last year's meeting, Bernanke prepared the market for QE2 -- a bond-buying program that is widely credited for supporting stocks earlier this year.

While markets are hoping for Bernanke to say that QE3 is on the way at this year's event, most economists don't believe the Fed chief will signal any changes in monetary policy.

 Alert Admin 		F& N is another resilient counter.. Can consider... Dow's reversal tonight is very weird... Careful.. How strong it rebounds is how strong it will fall back. But i doubt it will be today... They do not want another Catastrophic Asia opening.

I think STI should continue to trade in a range between of 2680 to 2820 for the next few weeks before breaking down to 2200.

Volume should be light on Monday due to Hari Raya.

I only managed to spot 2 defensive counters that haven't been sold down much yet.

1. Biosensors

2. StarHub

 

Mid term (3-6 months) to Long term (> 6 months) outlook is still bearish to me.

Short term (1-3 month) wise is neutral. 

If STI rise over 2800 next week, I will be looking for some counters to short.

It is risky to keep open long positions from now to year end due to uncertainties in Europe in my view.

Telecoms are holding STI at this point.

If you look at other sector's index (especially Oil & Gas index), it is looking very weak.
