Although the up-trend for DOW is already broken, it should be able to reach 12000 first before reversing down again.

1) if it is negative we will see dow jones 9k or less now, it slows down which is not a good news 2) yes this is still a valid positive news but big companies are doing well at the expense of cutting cost/ slashing jobs.. 3) the question of soft or hard landing is still debatable.. note tat they are still facing inflation prob 4) Ben has been printing QE1 and QE2 for 2 years and wat he managed to create is equities bubbles and inflation.. so far the impact of QEs on jobs and home sales (which were the cause of the 2008 recession) is very minimal 5) yes that is prob the best among all the good news u mentioned (do note tat ppl are more concerned on italy/spain/france/etc) anyway, i am not against u all.. my long position is still open.. ofc i hope STI will go 10 trillion points on wednesday and ppl go chase the price until sell car sell house sell themselves.. just a bit of cautious to everyone including myself... overly bullish/bearish is bad :)

The good news are 1) US GDP and europe GDP are not negative . 2) Big companies still doing well 3) China and India still growing rapidly 4) Ben Bernake say they will act according to market requirement 5) Greece bank merger |

Dow closed at 11539.25 up 254.71 (2.26%). We want it to stay up tonight, but then you prefer it down. With so much good news flowing around, think it would stay green. Anyway, wish you the best of luck. Cheers.

Aug. 29 (Bloomberg) -- Greek stocks rallied, with the benchmark ASE Index climbing the most in more than 21 years, as EFG Eurobank Ergasias SA and Alpha Bank SA announced a merger.
