hahaha ! AKF ... hope u are right ! ..... that means from now on before buying chocolates have to monitor GAR, commodities etc ..... how simple can life be ...hahaha ! yah, the occasional chocolate bar at the petrol station bought on impulse ... hahaha ! with all these tainted milk from china stories .. quite scary to buy any tidbits .. buscuits, chocolates, milk drinks etc are now bougth very caustiously ...safest for the moment I would say are the peanuts ... Farmer and 'Thumbs Up' peanuts ... hahaha ! maybe they have jacked up the prices to compensate for the loss in business ...is this right ?.. what about the profits thay had racked in during the good times ? |

Van Houten bar Chocolate 2 years ago : crude Oil per barrel USD 20 ---- chocolate bar SD 1.10 jan 2008 : crude oil per barrel USD180 ---- chocolate bar SD 1.40 oct 2008 : crude oil per barrel USD 70 ---- chocolate bar SD 1.85 ! the above are/were prices at petrol stations . does this make any sense ... what's the logic .... is this a sample of things to come ..? what does the guys at Wall Street and Main Street have to say about this ..will they compensate our chocolate bars ? |

I will both hands up for property investment.. That's what I am thinking too... $150K after 5 years is not that spectacular especially when you are vested in year 2003.. talking about stocks, I am confident, clsoing your eyes, and simply choose any stocks, can give you more than 100% gain in 3-5 years time.. ha ha.. semb marine, starhub, parkway, capitaland, and even centillion !!

I am not against property investment. I think it is ok. But a profit gain of $150k after 5 years is not bad but it is not that spectacular. I can say quite confidently when market recovers and if you have capital and use margin, you will be amazed at the returns if you choose the right stock
