The critical support is still at $1.16 , breaking which may go straight down . Because $1.16 is also the lowest supporting point of the long term downtrend channel . To mention  abt   the TP if breaking this point , it would be zero

Coal stocks were on fire on Friday following a better than expected earnings report from Arch Coal (ACI). The stocks’ early momentum accelerated in afternoon trading, as

the short-sellers appear to be racing to the exits. Coal stocks have been pounded this year, as power plants have switched to cheaper natural gas and new regulations are expected

to raise costs. A mild winter didn’t help either.

Arch Coal posted a narrower-than-expected loss for the second quarter, and forecast improving U.S. demand for thermal coal

“With improving coal demand and ongoing supply rationalization, we could end the year with domestic stockpiles below 175 million tons, the level at which we entered 2012,”

said CEO John Eaves, according to Reuters.

Arch shares jumped 30%.

Nice recovery yesterday but results released after market a but worrying. Revenue down 8% and profit down 52%. This against 1H 2011.

2nd Quarter vs 1st Quarter better and shows improvement but at this rate, looks like 2012 will be very much worst off than 2011.

Question is, has all these been reflected in it's present price ? Trade with care. Can read many different ways.
