STI to cross 3000 boosted by long-term investors

Here's the daily chart. It was down over 4% last night with a bearish engulfing candle.

The only thing that can save the market tonight is announcement of QE3 (and the amount needs to be more than USD600 billion in my opinion).

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- U.S. stocks moved solidly higher after a shaky start Tuesday as investors turned somewhat optimistic about the fate of Greece's bailout, and as a two-day Federal Reserve meeting got underway.

The Dow Jones industrial average (INDU) rose +188 points, or 1.1%, with 28 of the blue chip index's 30 components moving higher.

The boost in European markets also came from " much better than expected" bond auction results in Greece and Spain which are " helping to bolster sentiment," said Joel Kruger, technical currency strategist at FXCM.

Greece and Spain are members of the so-called PIIGS nations, a status that they share with fiscally troubled Italy, Ireland and Portugal. Investors are showing confidence because the better-than-expected performance of Greek and Spanish bond auctions outweighs the impact of S& P's downgrade of Italy, at least for now.

Previous pivotal support on the daily, it may become resistance on the way up.

1280 is the 200day MA so a ton of resistance should we gets to that range.
