For mkt safety, it's better to buy at point 15. Way too difficult to predict the possibility of pt 14, although it's possible to calculate where pt 14 might stand. For STI, if pt 14 indeed happens, tgt likely near 1350. Might be a fast intraday kind of move though. Do note, pt 15-19 seldom has such a steep gradient, normally more gradual (rough guide is 1/3-1/4 gradient of the bear mkt). Mkts always climb walls of worry slowly, and fall off rivers of hope very fast.

$2.38 per hour ($800) $5.00 per hour ($1200) $10.00 per hour ($2500) $12.50 per hour ($3000) how is labour priced ? ..... from the business point of view .. its a cost ... from the individuals point of view ... its to eat and live .... ----------------------------- a friend , looking for a part-time driver job, was offered $5 per hour for 4 hours work ($20) .. of picking up workers from kaki bukit dormitories and equipments from east coast yard and 'despatch' them to sites in city area, clementi and tuas everyday, 2 way ...and he needs to beat the erp, traffic jam to 'despatch' them on time ...and need to travel from his home to the office to pick up the 10 footer on his own expence...and if he lands himself on the wrong side of the law (parking/speeding/erp defaults) ..he needs to dig into his own pocket ... eating/sleeping/keeping himself fit ... all his expence ! perhaps someone could come with a novel way to transport workers and equipment through the Internet .... much faster and cheaper ! .... hahaha ! |

Singapore gets top marks in UN World’s Cities Report SINGAPORE: The United Nations (UN) gave Singapore top marks in its latest report on the state of the world’s cities, and has said it is keen to deepen its collaboration with Singapore as a knowledge hub With its greening policy, Singapore has also been singled out as a country that absorbs more carbon dioxide than it emits. Another achievement is that Singapore is the only country with no slums. Director of Monitoring and Research at UN—HABITAT, Banji Oyelaran—Oyeyinka, said: "Obviously, (the) government has taken pro—active steps over a long period of time because it has to be sustained. "One of the problems you find in most countries is they actually start well, but you need constant investment, sustained effort (and) visionary leadership to sustain those kinds of actions." "It’s necessary for Singaporeans to be proud of what they have achieved, but at the same time, to know that sustained efforts is required." The UN has lauded the 43—year—old city state as a model city. However, experts cautioned that as all cities progress, they will no longer be measured just by their level of economic, social and environmental progress. Cities like Singapore will also have to look at its inclusiveness and its quality of life. Related to this, the report said cultural assets too should be protected to nurture the soul of the city. http://sg.news.yahoo.com/cna/20081024/tap-148-singapore-gets-top-marks-un-worl-231650b.html |
