I think the chance of getting the lottery is only 30%. Banjoo has neither experience in lottery nor IT. Do you think china government will be convinved that banjoo can contribute to the paperless lottery? |

mmm....finally someone is talking sense in this thread, RyanWong. Very rationale perspective, very mature thinking. Good point mentioned. No lottery liscence, no hype. No emotion play here. I have thought your points all these while about the goodness of BJ, restructuring, change of auditors, all the jazz, etc. But simply it cannot convince me to put my $$ in this counter. In stock mkt we invest in future earning, projection, prospect and branding. All these mentioned above, BJ do not have. All BJ has is in anticipating of a liscence. What's my thought of chances on the lottery liscense....it's 50/50, it can go either way, which I would not like to guess. And BJ's price move is in relation to this 50/50 chance. Probably 30¢ with liscence, and 8¢ without. What's the difference here compared to gambling in Casino?...I am not talking down this counter. I would not wish to say BJ is bad company to invest in. All I am saying is, let us see some light, some hopes before putting your $$ in. Now I see nothing. I will monitor this counter closely and with Pension after my back chasing me away from "HIS THREAD"...lol...I will still be visiting here, it's a free site...lol. I like this chap, despite me getting many bad posts...hehehe. CHEONG AHHHHHH.....but BJ went down....WILL CHEONG IN THE AFTERNOON....BJ went to sleep...lol. |

I think perhaps the issue with some people is that we shouldn't talk up the counter excessively. This I agree. At the moment no license confirmed. So no point talking up too much. However those who talk down the counter excessively are also overdoing it. Ban Joo's status now is 1) Progress made on sale agreement. Work being done to prepare the way for sale to be completed eg change of auditors and more restructuring work being done 2) Major crucial uncertainty whether China govt will approve sale. All counting on this approval. If no approval, counter will indeed drop down tremendously. 3) Still has a fall back on the media business in China even if lottery license is not approved. But agree if no lottery license really not much going for this company. Cheers! |

If this counter is bad, it long time ago it would have downtrend to 0.005. Why is the price maintain at 0.17 to 0.175? Pleasae talk sense here. |

My question I would ask Idesa168 is whether he/she thinks the chances of Ban Joo getting the license is >50% or less than 50%? I would put it at >50%. Some would ask, if such a good chance then why doesn't the price move up? Well that's the risk right? Otherwise 100% make money? So easy? Even if people or insiders knew that the chance is very high, they would not go in and buy and push the price up. Why would they? Alert the SGX to query them of insider trading? They would quietly accumulate. Let the weak holders sell off cheaper and cheaper. That's what the trading halts were for. Buy on rumour, sell on news. And they give this type of equivocal news. Price moves up a bit (understandably) and they have to announce anyway. (no halt maybe cheong up even more right!) Subsequently price keeps dropping. Who's buying? There are buyers. Who are they? If I were an insider trader I wouldn't be so silly as to push up the price so much a long time BEFORE the license is confirmed. Accumulate as it is sold by weak holders. What do you think Idesa168? Chances of Ban Joo getting license >50%? To base this decision on the current stock price I think is not the right way to judge it. |

All these arguments. I'll be frank. I bought 10 lots of Ban Joo at 0.20 when they lifted the halt on announcing the good news about the sale agreement. So the sale is on. This is better than an MOU. The next step is approval from the China government. In my opinion, this was the stage to invest in Ban Joo based on fundamentals. But I was wrong. The price dropped. However I sized my position small. $2000 is small to me. This is the closest I consider as a punt as I am not a punter. But looking at the figures the lottery biz in China is going to be huge. So much room for growth. We are talking profits in tens and hundreds of US dollars here. Singapore has the highest per capita lottery sales. China lags far behind. Yet Singapore population is only 4.4 million compared to China's 1.3 billion (ie 1300 million!) Lottery sales are better in bad times than in booming times in my opinion. Makes more sense that people buy lottery when they cannot make money in stock markets right? Ban Joo is undergoing restructuring at the moment. The change in auditors is a positive sign to me. They are working behind the scenes now. The sale agreement means both parties stand to gain from the sale going through. Of course there is a chance the China govt will not approve the sale. But the chances are lower now than when it was just an MOU. Further more the purchase is paid for in Ban Joo shares at 0.30 and 0.40 etc....why would sellers accept such terms when the stock is currently 0.175? They must see growth potential in the stock. Hence I see good potential in this stock, provided the deal goes through. This will be a multi bagger if the deal goes through. Which is why I was willing to put some money into it. Those companies are "losing" much more $$$ if they sold their companies for shares in Ban Joo priced at 0.30 and 0.40!!! They have much more to lose than me. I know that many people who buy such penny stocks have very small capital to "invest" and are more contra players or really really small punters. I would agree that at the moment don't buy Ban Joo for lack of news and leads. No point. This counter is unlikely to go up in the short term unless there is some news on the horizon and insider trading starts. Go buy other counters at the moment. Better returns. But I'm going long on this one until I hear there is confirmation whether the sale is approved or not approved by the China government. But to call this counter hopeless, useless, blame the counter and all that....I think those are just emotional rantings. Cheers to Ban Joo investors. |

About me talking down BJ...lol....if myself and I alone can do that, it's ridiculous. I am just discussing facts here, yes, real facts as the share price tells all. As for me and other forummers are actually one person, no such things. I dun ask questions and answers myself, only the BO LIAO ones will do that. Pls NO personal attacks. I am a small (in fact very tiny) investor. I dun mean to talk down Joo Joo. I cannot afford my $$$ to get stuck in something that does not move moons after moons... or else I will have to eat grass soon. So I had decided to switch to a cheongster. At least I know and I see the results immediately. Otherwise by looking at the screen every day -- very very stressful!
