There are always retrenching and hiring going on in the electronics / semi-conductors / manufacturing sector throughout the year.

The trend going forward is to substitute manpower with automation (robots) in the manufacturing sector.

but euro side should be muted form now on , as i read all those pigs got not more financial obligation, or debt to pay, till next yr 2Q.

so should no longer give mkt shock, except this US debt again.

i think yr end fund will push the mkt, becos if not, they got no money for Christmas, their pay depend on their fund performance.

So i think have a stop loss, and also better get out of the mkt before mid Jan., mkt could still rally late into late Jan, but sometime ard end of Jan , GDP figure will be out,

that is going to sink mkt if it is negative growth.

If truthly a recession happen in the 1Q of 2012, stock will response by big selldown.

So i think have a stop loss, and also better get out of the mkt before mid Jan., mkt could still rally late into late Jan, but sometime ard end of Jan , GDP figure will be out,

that is going to sink mkt if it is negative growth.

I think recession by 1Q 2012, but u said GDP 2% what...but ECRI said that past recession happen after positive GDP.

    Euro still in a mess, but for this yr, most countries already got their fund , so worry is for next year. They already got their expendicture setttled for this yr. for next 2 Q, till 2Q next yr.

    I belong to the losers group (90% of the people).

    A successful trader can easily make 100% profits every year in either bull or bear market.

    There's still a long way to go in order for me to achieve that.

    If the stock market is fair, then there should be 50% people winning and 50% losing.

    But the fact is only 5%-10% are winning and the rest are losing.

    Why? Because they listen to the ANALysts' calls to sell at the lows and buy at the highs most of the time.

    My humble advise, please learn to read the charts and stop listening to the news.

    Should the STI manage to recapture 50DMA tomorrow, there's a fair chance to go back up to 2900 by year end (neckline of a possible inverted H& S). 

    By then you will see all the media hypes with all the buy calls probably and it  will be time for us to short the market. 

    LOL

    They, meet for  2 mths, poring over concepts and ideas already hashed out by  3 other grps over d past yr.

    But 10 days before their deadline, members of the so-called congressional " super committee" created to forge a deficit reduction deal indicated Sunday that they remain hung up on basic issues of tax and entitlement reform that have previously stymied agreement.

    If it works out an agreement, Congress must vote on the unamended plan by Dec 23. Failure to reach an agreement or gain approval by Congress and President Barack Obama would trigger $1.2 trillion in automatic spending cuts scheduled to take effect in 2013
