After 1997, Asian countries went on Austerity drive, limit Import Maximise Exports. Asian currencies whacked down, European countries and US went on spending cheap Asian Goods. Industries came to asia, China India and ASEAN, good shipped to America and Europe. Now Asian is flushed with money. Everyone is still cautious, Baby Boomers with all the CPF and savings had 1997 fresh in their mind waiting for the " Market Bottom" . Everyone is waiting when to go into the stock market. Soon US and Europe funds will come back to earn our money to go back to US and Europe. They will buy in when it is still cheap and sell when the Asian Decided to go in.

Will STI comes down to 2008 crisis level when Lehman Brothers collapsed? I believe it will not because the world are more well prepared this time round. If it happens, guess I have to hold on the stocks for long term. I am still holding on to Reits now. During 2008 crisis, I held on to my Reits and collected the dividends. It was quite fearful and depressing that time. However, eventually I managed to sell away the reits with a profit when the market recovered. |

IMF Readying Loan of as Much as $794 Billion for Italy, La Stampa ReportsThe International Monetary Fund is preparing a 600-billion euro ($794 billion) loan for Italy in case the country’s debt crisis worsens, La Stampa said. The money would give Italy’s Prime Minister Mario Monti 12 to 18 months to implement his reforms without having to refinance the country’s existing debt, the Italian daily reported, without saying where it got the information. Monti could draw on the money if his planned austerity measures fail to stop speculation on Italian debt, La Stampa said. Italy would pay an interest rate of 4 percent to 5 percent on the loan, the newspaper said. The amount could vary from 400 billion euros to 600 billion euros, La Stampa said. Now is trader market. Buy and Sell with cut loss price. Trading Margin expect to be small 1% to 3%. For Investor look at price, buy and expect to hold for a least 1 year to 3 years. Best company business can sustain some good dividend to cover holding cost. When Asia found itself pricing in US and Europe problems, making most of regional trade and asian trade market will rebound at least 10%. When Europe found itsself, whether breaking up or not. Market will resume 2009 bull market heading 4000pts. MONEY is in ASIA now. This is ASIA rise. |

It can't possible to continue " lau saiing" everyday without taking any food or at least on drip (Glucose). Sure to have a small (at least) recovery (for a couple of days) even the market sentiment is really bad because of Europe and the US. China is not helping either with the recent negative news on the growth. All eyes are now on Germany on whether it will budge.
