If you can't, it's better to cut your losses and get out. 2. Do you have the double the capital or more to average down. If you don't, it's better to cut your losses and get out. Only average down when you have both tolerance and capital. As a trader, my tolerance is very low, I would get out when the counter falls below 5% of my entry price. You have to make your own decision.
