seems like there is a little" logic " here by S& P...that STI will hit 3000 by Mar ?

STI 2800 touched now this month .....

STI 2900 in Feb ? STI 3000 in Mar ?   ....let's wait and see....seeing is believing...DYODD

actually there is no logic in the market...lol...

but if you trust what you read here and there, US, EU, China,,,etc....seems to be getting a little better..and....so called " January Effect" ...AND.....

if you trust S& P prediction that STI will hit 3000 by first quarter 2012( do you own dd) .. they were the one who first initiated the downgrade of US rating that dragged the world markets down last Aug till now ?

AND...STI chart looks good too.... on the way up ?  .. what else can one say ?

Seems like there is still some strength upwards, with the not so good report from China, their shares still in the upward moves.

Any  logical opinion on how the market going to react later?

  By Rita Nazareth -  Jan 18, 2012 5:39 AM GMT+0800  U.S. stocks advanced, sending the  Dow Jones Industrial Average  to the highest level since July, after reports bolstered optimism in the American and German economies and Spain’s borrowing costs decreased at an auction....“The economic data broadly exceeded expectations,”  Alan Gayle, a senior strategist at RidgeWorth Capital Management in Richmond, Virginia, which oversees about $47 billion, said in a telephone interview. “That’s why we had an immediate lift to the market,” he said. “What the auction in  Spain  tells me is that the market is ahead of the rating companies.”..........

  The S& P 500 is up 2.9 percent in 2012 for its best start to a year since 2003, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. At least 48 companies in the benchmark index are  scheduled to report  quarterly results this week. S& P 500 companies, which beat profit estimates in the previous 11 quarters, probably will report a 4.6 percent increase in per-share earnings during the September-December period, analysts’ estimates compiled by Bloomberg show.

Seldom I see Isolator so persistent during trading. This time he is bear all the way. Usually he will change from bear to bull when the mkt is against him and he will change from short to long. But this time round he is short all the way. This I really respect him. Anyway all the best to ur shorts. May u also huat for the CNY.

its sad after reading about what he said " Ch***" is going to do/pro.

What I feel sad about is that some " Ch***" bragged that Singapore will be theirs one day. That kind of conquering mentality is so evasive at this early stage. Don't have good feel of them

Remember during the financial crises, Dr M accuse Singapore of selling down their ringgit, and media was reported that he said if only they have

got a strong army...so on and on What does that means?? 

these type of issue can lead to war, you know.

and Europe may go to war .

People over here in this forum quarrel over stock, and country fought over economic issue.

actually, all in all, we fought over $$$$. simple as that.

money make war, money make peace.

This time round, may be Iso is right. there was once when Bon vs Iso, Bon tried to push the STI past 3200 and Iso kept shouted down down down and finally it became true 2-3 months after. This time he said it would happen this Qtr or 2nd Qtr.........if the pattern really repeat

Wa, nowadays Singapore's news is as " volatile " as in the States. Yesterday our PM said this year economy is going to slow day (so bad announcement), today late afternoon it reveal the investment in 2011 ard 12bil and hope to get about the same this year.

I read in a newsletter that the Mayan calender saying 2012 21st dec , end of the world, but the author derive that in the calender it mention Greece, then Italy,

it indicate financial upheavel. But I logout of my computer before book mark it.

what the heck, becos of bullish mkt, so kan chiong and forgot.

if not i will paste here for you all to share, quite interesting message and prophecy.
