Singapore Hot Stocks-Dyna-Mac soars on Keppel investment

Reuters - Thursday, March 3


SINGAPORE, Mar 3 - Shares of offshore oil and gas services firm Dyna-Mac Holdings rose as much as 12 percent on Thursday after Keppel Corp said it had acquired a substantial stake in the firm.

At 0149 GMT, shares of Dyna-Mac were 10.7 percent at S$0.415 with over 53.5 million shares changing hands, making it the most actively traded stock by volume.

Keppel's offshore and marine unit invested S$87.5 million in a 27.8 percent stake in Dyna-Mac through an equity placement.

" With Keppel as a strong partner, Dyna-Mac could possibly get more orders. That's the main attraction for the stock," said a local trader.

With ipo at discount price of $0.35, it will definately move beyong $0.55 as it had proven company record and profitablilty.

Will rally more tmr if US close positive, may be above $0.5 by tmr.

March 2 (Reuters)--SE Asia Stocks-Mkts fall as oil price woes hit confidence, geopolitical risks a worry

* The drop in stocks was led by a 1.3 percent loss in Singapore
Southeast Asian stocks fell on Wednesday in broad-based selling as escalating geopolitical risks in the Middle East made emerging market investors wary of the impact of oil-driven inflation on the global economic recovery. Oil rose towards a 2-1/2-year high and stocks around Asia fell as investors shunned risky assets on concern that the unrest in Libya would spread through the Middle East and disrupt fuel supplies.

Thing worth to note--Dyna-Mac play on it first day trading listed in SGX-Exchange is a strong indication of what  is to  be expected by big players interest, whether is vested or not,  it give a  good start to players big or small  stake holders in this local Industries startup on been listed in SGX-Exchange.
