STI to cross 3000 boosted by long-term investors

QE3 in Feb? then market will rally sky high no ceiling but then it will be on cheap money. fundamentals all throw out of window? so far US rally has been on low volume leh.. if there is real growth and conviction should be high volume? now you see volume on STI is hugely contributed by pennies? those counters like eg. golden agri and genting, their volume still not as high as " normal" ?

Haha, I think they read my postings, about DOW 15K, reflected and thought that I was quite right being so bullish about the US market and by inference all stock markets! So now I also feel good that we are going into a most exciting era in stocks. Bragging only hahahaha...lol lol.

STI manage to close itself above 2900 mark which is important for the up side trades after yesterdays fall STI opens and trades below 2900 mark most of the day but finally closed above 2900 levels. STI formed a candlestick pattern called a hanging man it has a very long lower shadow and a small real body. This pattern can be bullish or bearish, depending on the trend. If it occurs during an uptrend which appears to be the case with STI it is called a hanging man line and signifies a reversal top. As we mention in our weekly report that above 2910, it's challenging for STI to sustain this level and today STI faced resistance @ that level and slips from there, but took support @ its major support zone of 2880. and with the facebook $5billion IPO coming to NYSE before May .....US economy is doing better than expected....China is doing ok....EU no new big bad news so far....France and Germany are trying hard to do something...Greece default is not that scary any more....US Fed is ready and prepare for QE3 if need arises... DOW will probably be continue dancing all the way..... little brother STI will probably follow.... Quote “There was nowhere for the market to go but up.” ...... P.S. anything can happen. DYODD.

Strategists at the biggest banks are capitulating on their bearish forecasts after the best start to a year for global stocks since 1994. Just two weeks after saying that investors should “remain cautious,” Larry Hatheway, the chief economist at UBS AG, raised his recommendations on global shares and high-yield bonds in a Jan. 23 note to customers entitled, “Wrong, but not too late.” Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc, and Benoit Anne, the global head of emerging-markets strategy at Societe Generale SA, said their estimates for developing nations were proven wrong. The MSCI All-Country World Index (MXWD) climbed 5.7 percent in January, surprising strategists at Bank of America Corp. (BAC), Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and Barclays Plc who had forecast first-half losses because of Europe’s debt crisis. “In hindsight, everybody was so beared up at the end of last year,” Mary Ann Bartels, the New York-based head of technical and market analysis at Bank of America, who predicted on Dec. 27 that the S& P 500 would probably fall about 15 percent in the first half before recovering, said in a Jan. 31 phone interview. “There was nowhere for the market to go but up.”

When Dow crosses the 13K, (200 or so pts to go), then the step is one more closer to my prediction of DOW 15K to come.. Lol. STI 3000++ is obviously going to be a forgone conclusion. Everybody huat arh in the dragon year. LOL. |
