A lot of people have switched around to buy their shares in different counter and their comments about genting sp may be just follow their emotions. To understand genting sp, we have to understand the whole group of it's public listed company. I have bought genting shares, i mean the group of public listed companies' shares for some time, that's why I see genting sp differently. I am comfortable and confidence with the long-term investment in it. Yes, I will accumurate the shares from time to time and only will consider to sell whey I need money. As an employees with average income in today's society, I seriously don't know how many kinds of shares in STI we can buy and accumulate be the future fortune to our next generation and I really believe genting sp can be one of the choices. For those with only short-term goal, what is the problem as long as the company's background is strong and you buy it with your own real money. Remember, never buy a share just because you consider is cheap, what we buy is the prospect and future wealth. |

Generally speaking Genting business concept is good. Current price is high but can go higher when its resort/casino opens for business. I have a few lots bought recently which I re-entered after selling off past holdings at a small profit. |

hi, i m not here to seek advice. i do my technical and fundamental analysis before i decide on my stocks to buy. just doing my part to help others in need. there are others that depend on this info to buy and sell. wrong info taken by them will be disastrous. so, we must make sure that they understand whether our assumption is based on long term or short term horizon. long term wise, genting may evetually goes up once the global economy pick up, short term wise may or may not be, depending whether genting can deliver per their expected revenues target. of course, one have to make their own judgement and bear the consequences later if a wrong decision is made. | ||||||||||||||

I am long-term investor but i also believe share rally of genting sp will come. Anywhere, trust yourself and be confidence. If you have no intention to buy the share, why you will be here. Different people have different investment style and strategy, and different share counters suit to different needs. Some people like to put their money in blue chip counters to enjoy high dividends but little potential upwards in their share price, the others may look for share counters in new business with high potential and bright futures. Just like you can't laugh to people who put theirs money in FD or who choose to buy foreign currency. People who give comments in this forum may good for reference only but it all depends on individual's target profit and actual financial condition. Genting sp is a very unique counter in Singapore where the company's business is very new in singapore but the management is very strong and mature. For those who comments the company is losing money, to be fair they are not losing money, but instead to put the capital into investment just like you and me (how can your wife or gf simply blame you "lose money" when u want to invest money in equity for better profit). I never think Lim will like his share to sell at $1 but only at this initial stage, if the new casino is opened in Malaysia or China, the share price shall be much more higher. I believe people who buy the shares very clear about it's potential and for those who not, you may either against it or willing to pay for higher later when you feel comfortable in it's stability. |

Genting International share price is currently within a tight trading zone. Why? Cos everyone is waiting for the ACTUAL OUTCOME ie WILL GENTING MEET HER Q1FY10 REVENUE TARGET. If actual > target, share price will go up. If not, it will go down. Bottomline, now the current share price is supported by the expectation that Genting meet her market expected revenue target. |

If you looked at only the recent shares price of Genting Sp, it may consider as misleading as we know the pace of whole financial market getting slow and lack of fresh lead in 4Q 2009, not only the genting sp alone. The investors of Genting sp also takes time to absort the news of rights issue after 09-09-09. In fact, the genting sp share price was very stable even after the news of Dubai financial crisi and the downward of Dows last week. If you look further, the news of soft opening, grand opening and awards of casino license shall boost up the confidence of investors and push up the share price. There is no doubt a lot of small investors become impatience due to the share price flat for so long. It is important for the banker of the game to push the shares price to hit 1.20 in near term so the share shall fly high in the following month. (Who know it may happen soon in a week before Christmas??!!) That should be considered in part of the pre-opening marketing plan of the casino, isn't it? Anywhere, if you still not buy the ticket now, the international concert may start very soon and the ticket counter may close anytime. At the time, you may blame why not to buy the ticket at 1.08 and enjoy the show with everyone. For those who still hope for share price below $1, sorry the special offer only valid during construction period. Let's look further, after the 1Q 2010 financial report issue out, every pre-opening issues been solved and the world financial condition getting stable, than you may give up to buy the share as the price may double than what it has now but you still see see and look look... If you ask me what happen if the share price drops, I think only stupid management will do it. |
