Low volumn traded. If DJ don't show positive trend, then it may affect SPC uptrend pace. But reaching above 7.5, AK is optimistic leh. Still holding. Cheers. | ||

Hi Ping, if I have a crystal ball and tell you SPC is going to shoot above $9.00, will you sell after 25/4...LOL???...I have a crystal ball at home but unfortunately it cannot tell me the future...LOL. If you bought at 7.33 which was the price around Jan/Feb or worst you got them last year Oct, then you must have held on to SPC for quiate many moons liao! Why dun you hang on there and see the outcome of this expansion? Please dun be misunderstood that I am giving you direction on SPC as I am also a novice investor like you and many others. It's just my view to share, nothing more than that! Cheers! Today I hope to see SPC at 7.50...hehehe

Hi Idea168, Thanks for your valuable info. In fact, i bought this 5 lots at the peak, $7.33. Hopefully before the 24/04, price would have shot up high enough for me to sell off on the 25/04. So, you are advising i can sell off anytime on 25/04 onwards before 12th May and still entitle for the dividend right |

Congratulation Ping on your 5 lots of BLACK GOLD! The divvy is $400 per 1,000 shares, and that will earning you $2,000 for your 5 lots. If your are using the EPS (Electronic Payment scheme) with your broker for payment of your shares, the divvy will be credited into your bank account on the 12 May 2008. The latest date to invest in SPC to be entitled to the divvy is 5pm 24/04/08. After which when the mkt opens the next day (25/4/08), XD remarks will be put on this counter and all investors who wish to sell can do so, and still entitle to the divvy. However, do take note that "usually", when mkt opens on XD day, the share price will drop by the equivalent of 40¢, depending on the mkt sentiment.

Hi, Need advice from expert on the spc dividend payout. I am holding 5 lots of this counter. Understand dividend is 40cents. How much is my dividend then? I am a new player. Not sure how is dividend and when is it being paid out to us? Cheque or credit into our account? Any idea when can i sell off this counter if i want to be entitled for the dividend first? |

AK just don't understand, out of thousands of coys in US, only one coy didn't perform well, it affects global markets. Really, no logic. Like that how to invest as you don't know when next coy in US will declare making not enough. That means even we have thousands of coy earning money in Spore, their market influence still can't beat a bad performed coy in US???? Ganfused leow!!! | ||

The drop is due to GE's profit not meeting estimate, profit dropped 23%. Sometimes, I think, why punish stock price when the quarters still got profit and not in red? Besides, estimates were set by analysts and they are not people working in the company, how much do they know of the business?

Ayah, before I left for kitchen for cooking dinner, EU was in green leh, though up not much. Idesa, prompted by you, I checked, big wok, changed colour leow. I guess there must be something happening in US loh. Now 2130, is DJ commences trading leow. No eyes see loh. Jangan tention, SPC will still can hold by itself next Mon. Cheers. |

Europe mkt in red, US futures in red, I guess Monday STI will be in red too. Lets see if SPC can survive the redness on Monday and stays green throughout the day. SPC has this capability in the past few months. It's one of the reason I bought in SPC (defensive). Just last week, SPC posted in SGX the changes in E&P Head and also appoint a Risk Manager to the E&P activity. I was telling myself, they must have some kind of plan to step up the E&P activity which I do not know will have any impact to their shareprice or not. Well wee saw it today. Lets see if this piece of news will extend SPC's gain on Monday....my wishful thinking. |
