Why the short sellers will face heavy losses? They usually use those CFD account to short and they have 30 days to cover back right? |

That is why investors should adopt a disciplined approach and cut losses rather than wait for it to turn into ashes. I reckon there will be more of these takeovers/privatization given the price levels of some of the more viable ones.

PPT is sitting on 32%!!!now.....seller see also cannot tahan, already put their signature on the line cannot do anything already..... and not forgetting this is a money spinner going forward...double prosperity for them.. poor for me, didnt get at 101.. |

for those who bought at 4 buck...why never cut??...i believe they will see this px yrs fr nw, provided the coy maintain at current performance... but base on current fundamental i would suggest to buy more at current px..but one must be alert to cut without hestitation if maket turn, otherwise dont buy...if u dont to set cut lose..

yes agree, but this coy have grown , so 60 no longer apply...this coy is making handsome profit, otherwise who want to buy..why not buy s-share..cheaper, but tomolo gone from SGX..disappear for good.. i think it is worth much more,depend on your personnal judgement base on your analysis of coy fundamental...years ipo to date..this coy is impressive... Buy when ppl are giving away..cheaply.. Today those who got below 1 buck are very lucky...DYODD

those who bought at $4 will be ..*$&%^#%@% ($ sad to hear they will be sold at such a dirt cheap price, oh well their IPO price only 60 cents, so, those chairman doesn't mind to sell at 80.7 cents... they still earn big bucks,.... but sad for those who bought at sky rocket price ... now they should buy china s-shares company mah... so cheap 10 cents everywhere.. just offer them 50% more, 15 cents to acquire all their company.. sound easy huh....

oh yes, this is a follow up to previous post....why ppl buy at 80.7...they must have believe the actual worth to be more than 80.7...they will definitely not buy at face value, they also want to buy cheap and profit..at least 20% to 30% cheap...so prehap they value it currently at say...1.0..by calculation..JMO | ||||

to value a whole coy, base on a unit who accept the px at 80.7 is wrong in my opinion, u may have yours...if the owner have bought SAR very early way back at cheap px, so ppl offer of 80.7 which may means a handsome porfit, they may accept it gladly.... the seller of the unit may need $$$...so they may sell at cheap...i believe this one is worth much more...no vested, But if fundamental wise remain unchange and if ppl sell till 70c, i will buy more to keep..till cow come home..DYODD |

If i am not wrong, they(PPT) bought 60% of a unit which in turn have a stake of StraitAsia...how can they have a mandatory offer for the rest of SAR share.. Unless that 60% which they have bought is enough to trigger mandatory takover,which i do not thk so.. The 60% is in a unit which have a stake in SAR only....or if they bought over the whole unit , and the unit have more than mandatory takeover requirement..
