Oh dear! It'll be fantastic if the ordinary man could be switched on/off just by a flick of the control. Sex crimes could be eliminated by the Authority by just flicking the control to off! The world oldest profession will have to close down or surge to new height depending on the controlling switch.......hahaha .... it is 'up and down' robotic programs in action....NOT HUMAN ANYMORE - Maybe bio-matic man/woman? Cheers! |

As Osho said... ... the ordinary man only knows "on" and "off" (similar to switching a light on and off)... he does not understand the real dimension of sexx. ie. when the urge comes, it's on, when the urge is satiated, it goes off. |

WRONG! there is no medical proof of su -sex - sh behaviour patterns! It all depends on each and every individuals (he or she) the need to satiate given a set-environment. There is no guarantee that the satiation will stop (be it a man or woman) if the 'satisfaction' is achieved in a smooth-flow frequency, I sincerely couldn't define what is enough. Therefore, I've to set a 'GOAL' as my 'enough' target. Anything beyond that I shall consider as a 'extras' .Sorrry, I've to go to the restroom now just to check on my ......sssssss......................need! Cheers! |

Geojam... You brought up a very good point... :) I think the answer here lies in satiation... Satiation is generally sought by men, and once satiation is achieved, that is enough for the time being ... until the urge arises again later. Conventional frequency of activity is calculated by the number of such satiations in a given period, hence the standard of 'once a week' or 'thrice a week', etc. However, it is not absolutely necessary to follow such a system of satiation to determine when activity should 'stop'. |

lewsh88... Yes... what you mean by the Chinese saying is to be contented. And be moderate in all activities, treading the middle path. That is the best thing one can do. But "too much" is also a relative term. And this is one of the reasons many divorces happen... when one party wants "too little" while the other wants "too much"... The ideal situation is to seek a partner who also likes either "too much" or "too little" according to one's needs. In this way, life-long compatibility is assured and divorce will be improbable... :) |

The Chinese saying "zhi zu zhi fu" 知足知福 says it all. Knowing what is enough is knowing happiness. Too much s*x and you wander into unknown territory and you may contract AIDS. Too greedy in stock gains and you may get caught when the world market suddenly collapse. Too greedy in speculating property and you may get caught by the bank to top up your loans when market crash. |

Sohguanh... You are so right... enlightenment is to be sought rather than pleasure per se. However it can also be said that a state of enlightenment is a state of perpetual blissful pleasure while one exists in this world. If I am not wrong, I believe the Taoist immortals have all attained this ultimate state of being, namely a state of perpetual pleasure with mental and physical well-being. This state is something every person can attain to even without external wealth. And also, I believe once one attains this state of being, one loses all arrogance if one has it in the first place.. |

Fairygal... You are so right about happiness. Sometimes one realises that the more one struggles to attain happiness, the more it eludes us. Happiness truly is a state of mind when one reflects upon the things we can't attain in this life. Then a sense of profound humility descends upon one. I have also seen people, say of a particular housewife or career woman type, who have perhaps managed to "corner all the money in the world" by means of a secret stock market trading method they discovered. They then let their invincibilty get into their head and it shows unashamedly and obviosuly in their verbal and body languages, such as using words and attitudes like "I don't care who you are. I have all the money in the world. You have to pay me handsomely to learn my secret"... you know what I mean... Such arrogance is very humiliating to others who are less fortunate. |

I do not think s*x is the most important thing in life. Look at the Buddhist monks and they abstain from s*x and still is happy as they aim to attain enlightenment :) For lay followers, s*x is optional instead of mandatory. No money pay or cannot find partner self service lor. So I think food and water is more important than s*x :) |
