I think maybe next q. special div alway pay together with current one. I dont think there is any, for now.  This one I am waiting to buy. If OCK sell the hotel chain, i believe he will be a new billionaire in the forbes Asia.  But going forward the global economy is going downhill., so i dont think there will be any offer like the last one.  |

Think Metro is paying special dividend after paying it dividend just recently... SL paying on Tuesday and I hope SL will pay special dividend too..... |

I know that OCKis really good to retail investors and hope he continue to do so......I buy more of SL today....look forward to the 3 cents dividend and perhaps special dividend when they recognize profit for Sydney residential..... |

Hi jamesng You know what. This counter was under Hai Sun Hup and i check it was listed in 1989. 22years ago!!! I too forgotten roughly when i bought it. It has gone through many crises and still OK. Next crises come just close your eyes and buy this one will do, provided OCK is still at the helm. this one will not go under, it have proven thro thick and thin. This debt crises have yet to end, so the next down turn come, buy slowly and accumulate this one for good time...   Good Luck |

For me, at least $1....when reach $1, then I check on fundamental again and decide..... I think will reach $1 soon. Just any of the plans get materialize...... |

Have trust and confident in him. Look my Hai Sun Hup , now become 3 entity, because of this counter , it profit more than cover my losses in my CPF account. Way back , i was too ignorant, anyhow buy on recommendation and hearsay. but this counter save my backside. And i vested in this Stamfordland , and his 2 other counter for long term. Dont compare hm to other. , comparing does not work. how can compare to CDL. They might be in the same line, but under different situation. very hard to compare, trust me. ,and trust him. |

In Australia , if the assets are revalued , they have to pay tax. Look at the 12 millions tax provision for Dynons Plaza. So believe unlees they want to sell the assets otherwise no point to revalue and pay tax on fair vlaue gain. Correct me if I am wrong, thanks. |

sure....I think we can ask again during AGM......if OCK is unable to unlock the value, we could help him a bit unless he had better plan....but he did not reveal anything yet......as a shareholder, we can ask him during AGM and it is his duty to answer....Far east has unlock the value of orchard parade by doing so....else orchard parade will be trading at about half of it NAV....I think more shareholders should ask him at the agm and not just one person...this will be more effective.......beside the share price has not been doing too well compared to others, but I think stamfordland got lot of gems which a lot did not notice..... OCK had been doing very well. But if we compared him with the management of Far East, I wonder which is the better person that can unlock their company's value. By putting all the hotels into a reit, the hotels had to be revalued to it actual NAV and not at its cost. This is one way to unlock the value or else who will know what is the true value of the hotel. Further, by putting into a reit, the sites can be redevelop as well.......so, I think this is better than selling the hotels.......but either way will also unlock value.... Once the sites are developed, they will worth much more but I think it is still worthwhile to put them into reit and this helps reduce debts and raise money for the redevelopment......         |

Last AGM, someone asked him the same question about hotel reit again , CK Ow just couldn't be bother to answer. So the answer was obvious. |

well, can he buy a hotel in singapore and list all the hotels into a reit in singapore. If not wrong, he try to buy a hotel some time ago but lost to CDL. 3 years ago is a very long time. Or list them in ASX.... |

OCK also made it very clear that no way for SL to reit the hotel in AGM  3 years ago. So to redevelop or sell away some of the hotel is the only solution to unlock its hotels value. |

FE always like to create rumours. I dun know what SLC management can learn from FE, creating rumours? At least OCK is honest can straight to the point. He already said REITs is typically not possible liao due to Singapore's Reit listing rules and regulations. |

Profit would be good for sure and if couple with news of development of sydney hotel site, then would be very nice...   I hope OCK can put the hotels into reit to unlock shareholder value.....look at orchard parade....think management of stamfordland got a lot to learn from far east's management......... |

Stamford Residences & Reynell Terrace will, according to the just released annual report, be completed by August this year, ie during Stamford Land’s Q2 ending Sept ’11. With only 9 of the 122 tower units not sold, and likely strong demand for the 5 Reynell Terrace unitsand 5 commercial units when marketing begins on completion (and selling prices for the terrace units starting from A$4 mln a unit), we expect earnings for the quarter to be substantially boosted for Stamford Land to declare an interim dividend. (Note what’s not yet sold are estimated to be valued at A$70 mln vs A$162.6 mln for the 113 tower units sold.) Stamford Land will release results for the quarter sometime in November. And it has been Stamford Land’s practice to declare dividend once a year, with one exception: half year ended Sept ’08 when it paid 1.5 cents special bringing the total for that fiscal year to 4 cents.) For ye Mar ’11, 3 cents have been declared (2 normal and 1 special), and the stock will trade ex-dividend from Aug 2nd. The annual report also disclosed a bit more information on the redevelopment of Stamford Grand North Ryde, 20 minutes drive from Sydney CBD and close proximity from Macquarie Centre, Macquarie University and Macquarie University hospital : a total of 626 residential units on a site spread over 22,400 sq meters.
