x 0 x 0 Alert Admin	DJ MARKET TALK: OKP May Rebound On S$5.1M Chemical Plant Deal 0545 GMT [Dow Jones] OKP Holdings (5CF.SG) may rebound from morning fall, possibly test last week's high of S$0.87, on midday news company has landed S$5.1 million deal to carry out civil works for chemical process plant on Singapore 's Jurong Island . Project relates to civil, piling work for plant owned by U.S.-based SI Group, expected to be completed by September next year. Deal builds on company's contract win momentum in oil & gas sector, which it diversified into in 2006 from its core business of road building. Most recent contracts on Jurong Island include S$40 million deal for petrochemical project, S$3 million projects for isotherm power plant and biodiesel facility. "OKP's strategic decision to push into the civil engineering field for the oil and gas sector is generating significant economic mileage," says Kim Eng Securities. Stock off 0.6% at S$0.845 midday. x 1 x 0 Alert Admin	OKP Holdings yesterday reported a near seven-fold increase in its net profit from $609,000 to $4.1 million for the six months ended June 30. The half-year net profit is already higher than the $4 million it achieved for the whole of FY2006. Its turnover for H1 2007 rose 46.8 per cent to $49.1 million. OKP said the increase is mainly attributable to income generated from its civil and building segment which recorded a 72.1 per cent rise, coupled with recurring revenue from the road maintenance segment.

The amount of the tender is $3m and the contract is expected to be completed on 30 Nov '07. The Contract is expected to contribute positively to, but has no material impact on, the earnings per share or net tangible assets per share of the Company and its subsidiaries for the current financial year ending 31 Dec '07.
